6th in the league in Goals For

Yet we stand 15th in the league?

Our PP is 5th(I honestly got no idea how thats even possible, Our PP some nights looks outright terrible)
Our PK is 19th and with us being the 3rd most penalized team in the league is basically why we are losing.

I honestly think wat we need is a Top Tier checking forward like a John Madden or a Sammy Palhsson to be in our lineup

We can have the best players in the world and still not bring home the cup. This is Vancouver. We are not meant to win the cup. Not in my lifetime, yours, or your children's. We are cursed. If the Canucks won the cup, there would be major floods around the world, world famine, and of course, hell would freeze over. Plus, jesus would come back as a used car salesman in Vegas.

I say swap Grabner out for Bieska

How would that work? offer them less players? lol'

I would love to see Kovy on our team.

invader 12-21-2009 05:20 PM

whats the word on grabner, are they bringing him back up?

Hondaracer 12-21-2009 05:34 PM

after conditioning probably, but he isnt going to play a game for the moose until thursday i belive..

that Jason portwondo or w/e on sportsnet just said "After a lengthy meeting between AV and Kevin Bieksa, Bieksa was seen smashing his stick over the boards before retreating to the dressing room today after practice"

They said the same thing yesterday during the game. It's a good thing because AV is finally realizing how much he screws up during the games.

Hondaracer 12-21-2009 05:47 PM

^ yea i think this might be yesterdays reset since it's not don taylor anyways

It was yesterday. Today they interviewed Bieksa, and he know's he needs to work on things, and say's he'll continue to do so.

Gumby 12-21-2009 10:10 PM

Damn, Carrie Underwood is really off the market now... ;)

you know whats wrong? Because we are not consistent at all !! simple as that.... they scored 7-1 on one night and they lost 7-1 the next night ....

if we at least playing consistent, we can easily be on top 5 in the conference. BtW... i think stats are BS ... PP is 5th.. because one game they scored 4/5 PP, another game they scored 1/9 PP... true, they might scored lots of PP goals.. but they dont score when they needed it
if they scored 3/3 PP when we are already 3-0, im happy but i will be happier if they scored that 3/3 PP when we are down 4-1... instead they scored NOTHING on the PP..which pissed me off

Not really racist! 12-21-2009 11:49 PM

Brodeur breaks SO record

I'm glad AV is addressing Bieksa's piss poor play but I think more could have been done a couple weeks ago before Bieksa started costing the Canucks games.

And I watched the Bieksa interview last night and Bieksa seems to think nothing is wrong with his game and said he doesn't feel that he needs to change anything. What planet does this guy live on? How many more games are you going to cost the team before you wake up and realize that yes, it's your game that's fucking everything up right now.

you can say the same for Wellwood who pissed away 20+ games floating.
I think its becoming a disturbing trend for the guys in the locker room that they can take their sissy time to play on par. Maybe the awesome dressing room and the facilities are making them slack off.

wellwood isnt doing well and he isnt producing for us but at least hes not costing us games

bieksa on the other hand is killing us with his costly mistakes and its hard not to notice..

:werd: 94 was the closest we'll ever get. No matter who we get, we're cursed. Look at our team on paper, we should be up there but we can't even hang with the shittiest teams in the league while we beat the good ones, am I the only one that sees a problem here?

411ken 12-22-2009 07:47 AM

I would still like to have someone like Kovy on our team....I've only been to a live game once this year against Montreal and that was loud (we scored a bunch) but what about other games? how's the crowd? On TV, it seems very quiet in there......now if he have Kovy, everytime he's on the ice everyone will pay attention.

I just don't see us winning the Cup with Sedins and BURROWS on the first line lol..

spoon.ek9 12-22-2009 09:17 AM

canucks better win tonight, i'm still pissed off from that last game

pure.life 12-22-2009 10:00 AM

Blake Price just tweeted that he saw Demitra on the ice right now at GM Place skating in the optional teammates.

Rumours had it that he went back to Slovakia to see a therapist. Looks like he performed a miracle!

411ken 12-22-2009 10:27 AM

I'd love to see Demitra back when he's fully healthy... he is still a sniper that can help our PP... maybe he gets on a little streak and boost up his trade value? lol

MR_BIGGS 12-22-2009 11:42 AM

I think it's fair people are pressing the panic button. Before this 8 game homestand, alot of people were saying if the Canucks can go 6-2 they will be in the thick of things and that will be a decent way to end their homestand before going on the road. Right now they are 4-2 and playing a hot Nashville team who has won 6 of their last 7 games. If the Canucks can pull out a win tonight and shitkick the Oilers on Boxing Day, we'll be in the hunt again. A 6-2 homestand would be a success in my books.

I think once the Canucks are on the road, they will start tightning up in those one goal games and even start to steal points here and there in overtime and SO.

dL 12-22-2009 12:34 PM

We just gotta take things one game at a time ;)
