I think Jarome Iginla is the best captain in the NHL atm, and alot of the players around the league think so

he fights, he leads by example, and is a very vocal leader

Iginla is one of my fav players. He is very classy and from what I've been told by a couple of my friends from Calgary, he's really nice and down to earth off the ice.

Iginla is your prototypical canadian captain.

Leads by example on and off the ice. He can score, hit and fight and isn't afraid to get down and dirty. I only hate him because he plays for the Flames but absolutely love the guy for everything else he brings to the game of hockey.

He's a virtual lock for the captaincy during the next winter olympics

Yeah the only knock against Iginla is the fact that he plays for Calgary. :D

Other than that, he appears to be an awesome guy on and off the ice.

Good thing Gilles picked up Erhoff and Lukowich for extra defensive depth.

So Bieksa is gone for most of the season if not the entire season.

He might be back in time for the playoffs. Say 3 months, that would bring him back just in time for the playoffs to start.
