lol upon reading the TSN article I retract my comments from before. Although the charity part is probably bullshit and the whole story is for publicity.

That's maybe the saddest part, Quinn is one of the classiest guys on the planet, not nice for him to be associated with this kind of drama. But then, he doesn't really have any control over the players off-the-ice... that's Kevin Lowe and Steve Tambellini's department.

He is classy and I think deep down Quinn regrets taking the job. I’ve watched a few of his post game interviews and he seems beyond frustrated with his players, almost like the players don’t listen to him or the coaching stuff.

And imo the Oilers are a complete mess. Yes, their starting goalie is injured but some of the players they have on their team are grossly overpaid. Shawn Horcoff makes $7 million dollars but has 9 goals with a -19. There's no way he's worth $7 million. I think Lowe and Tambellini have a lot of work to do this summer to get the Oilers back on track. They have the right guy behind the bench now it's a question of what players will gel to produce wins.

They're bad luck this year. Overpaid players, Quinn is unhappy, horrific season so far, and a bunch of the players contracted swine flu this year as well. Even the Leafs are topping them. On the upside, they've got good trading assets for next season.

The reason why the players are overpaid is cause no one wants to play there. Oh and Horcoffs contract is front loaded, so he actually makes 5.5mil Average a season with his contract. But definately underachieving at the moment

One player on the Oilers that I will give credit to for turning around his game this season is Dustin Penner.

it doesnt matter if the contract is front loaded or not, he's not producing and thats all it matters.

Why Lowe is still running that team is beyond me!
