DsZ24 05-09-2010 08:31 PM

That hurts just to think about

spoon.ek9 05-09-2010 08:31 PM

it would fully explain why he was down for so long... :(

leilomo 05-09-2010 08:36 PM

poor guy. wonder why he always gets injured...hopefully he has a full, speedy recovery

xxxrsxxx 05-09-2010 09:02 PM

might be a stupid question....but the players wear jock straps so there's protection, unless the shot broke the jock strap too?

Greenstoner 05-09-2010 09:04 PM

^ he fell awkwardly, maybe he twisted his own balls ?? im not quite sure, because i didnt really see the puck hit the groin area at all

damn, im so glad they won.... it seems like there is a slightly hope afterall, coz we are coming home !!!!!!

411ken 05-09-2010 09:10 PM

The thing I love when canucks win is when the haters here aren't posting but I bet they are just roaming around still hahaha...

Not really racist! 05-09-2010 09:18 PM

Winning tonight sets the stage for a comeback and a win in game 7 :), theres really no way we should lose next game at home.

cdizzle_996 05-09-2010 09:22 PM

I said to my parents during the intermission "imagine he ruptured a testicle"

They argued and said it was his arm..

They showed the replay and it looked like the puck just hit him in the midsection. The puck was nowhere near his groin so this whole 'ruptured testicle' news was complete shock to me.

the cup's not foolproof
its supposed to protect your balls as much as possible but sometimes it hits you in a certain angle or spot and you really feel it and in Salo's case - broke his balls

Hahahahaha

Before the game he must have told God: "I'd give my left nut to win this game"

God said "Deal!"

Ikkaku 05-09-2010 09:41 PM

It's great to see Bieksa not being a total liability, and using his offensive skills like when he was to get his contract

tonyvu 05-09-2010 09:41 PM

great game tonight... hopefully we can tie it up at home

RRxtar 05-09-2010 09:52 PM

i didnt know you could even rupture a testicle!! my god i cant even imagine

good game tonite. huge departure from game 3. we went back to playing our game and not falling into chicagos game.

and it was nice to see bieksa do some good. i think people forget hes always been an offensive D man. hes never been an overly good defensive player and does make mistakes, but they are really showing this year with the defensive roll hes had to play with mitchell out and ohlund gone.

What if he said Stanley Cup instead of "this game"?!

That was a good game by Luongo. Credit where credit is due.

I was really impressed by O'Brien more than anyone though. Playing big minutes and doing it well. Not looking fwd to our D on Tuesday though.

So are you back on the bandwagon now? What happened to all of your 'trade Luongo' comments?

Just because I'm not on Luongo's nuts everyday like most of this forum doesn't mean I can't recognize when he does play well.

Objectivity: That's the difference between a FAN and a FANBOY like you.

So because I support the team day in and day out, win or lose I'm a fan boy? Then please enlighten me on what a fan is. Someone who supports the team only when they are winning and jumps down their throat when they are losing...Like you?

fliptuner 05-09-2010 11:04 PM

Pretty sure Rome's ready to play.

At first I thought Salo got hit in the wrist, then when he curled up on the ice, I thought the puck got through and cracked a rib.

When OB got hit, I knew he'd get a quick stitch and be right back out. There was no way he'd leave the game with that injury.
