Rumor right now is he was addicted and OD on the painkiller "Demerol" which is very similar to Morphine. The family spokesman also made a comment yesterday on CNN that MJ was hooked up painkillers.

my cousin figured that he didnt feel he could perform to par for his upcoming concerts and was trying to work through whatever pain he had to rehearse and ended up overdosing on something

i still think its food poisoning.

Well the concert went from 11 to 50 shows; I think he would have been lucky to perform one full show, let alone 50. And the only reason why he agreed to the shows was to pay off his debt, I don't think he really wanted to perform.

^^ poor guy:( He was too old to perform 50 shows, not to mention rehearsals and all.

Sorry, have to disagree with that statement. Provided he was in relatively good health (who knows what state he was in before he died), I think he could have easily performed 50 high-energy shows. Look at Tina Turner, 69 and came out from 'retirement' to do a 90 show world tour. I've been to one of her concerts and she's not the type to just sit on a chair and sing, it's a high-energy, high-production concert.
