Can you still get dashboard/game/roster updates via XBL if you mod your xbox? I don't play online at all, but I do like downloading demos and having roster updates.

LOL, but seriously, NHL 10 fucking rocks. My buddies and I did a battle for the cup on All-Star + Hardcore against the Rangers ('94 Canucks jerseys FTW) and it's just leaps and bounds better than '09. The first game, we were awful because we kept trying to throw hits and injuring ourselves as well as getting into post whistle scrums and going to the penalty box (at one point, we had Hordichuk playing w/ the Sedins because he had about 6 forwards either injured or in the box). Somehow won that game 3-2. Once we smartened up (about halfway through Game 2 when we were losing), we rocked them. I love the new passing system; banking passes off the boards makes breakouts that much easier and boardplay/intimidation is awesome.

Yes, I had my game on saturday.. And there was already 300 people playing online, So obviously people with $$$$ or mods get the game before release date.. I updated mine on satuday aswell as Dirt 2 and NFS shift.. Not banned.. and loving every minute of the game.

I'm waiting to get it from EA hopeully I dont have to wait long :(

Pretty sick game, the leg kick is unreal. Only complaint i have is when you have a guy in full stride skating threw the neutral zone, and the other team does the "board play" and holds your guy into the boards. Other than that its pretty decent.

The leg kick is dope!! I didn't the sickest deke with Burrows. Leg kick, backhand to forehand, fooled the goalie good!

man cory schneider is like unstoppable. played be a pro, 3 games and he got 2 shutouts and had 1 GA in the third game 4-0, 8-0, 2-1. grabner (cpu controlled) had a 5 pt game too haha.

i cant score worth shit..i suck at deking too..but i can pass and have never scored a shoutout goal in over 40 attempts

wrap around goal isnt a glitch, wrap around happen in real life. Unless he's going back and forth behind the net and the goalie gets stuck somehow everytime then thats definetely a glitch :D

Thats what I was thinking too. You would think after the 2nd or 3rd goal you would play some better D and stop the wrap around lol!

Guys. It's glitch. When you can score almost at will with that, it's a glitch.

In 09 there was the curve shot glitch, wrap around glitch, and goal line 5-hole glitch.

I personally haven't seen any glitchers online yet but I did notice a few people try the wraparounds often.

And yes, you could always just park a dman BEHIND THE FUCKING NET BECAUSE THATS OBVIOUSLY SO FUN AND REALISTIC...but that's not the point. This was a concern that I heard EA fixed but didn't.

anyone experiencing the game freezing alot?

3 times in one sitting

My 3 online losses were all a result of freezing, and I was winning all 3. The first time I turned the game on it froze before the main menu. Probably doesnt halp that at one point last night there was 41,000 people online.

Total glitch and ya that's all I do is go behind the net when it's obvious some douchebag is going to do it over and over.

Anyone actually use MS points to upgrade the stats on their guy?

I just played a few more games. I just played a glitcher. He'd skate around the net, cut almost out front to where the hash marks are but a little lower, at the top of the crease, and take a slap shot. He scored 4/5 times trying to do it.

shit like these glitch goals make me not even want to buy it.. idiots just go on forums or XBL, learn the moves then thats all they use, even playing friends in home games etc.

Don't worry about the wraparound glitch, it doesn't work in EASHL (which is the most important game mode to me) since it's on hardcore mode.

The only reason a bunch of the wraparounds work in one-on-one is because the game mode is set to fucking pro or some shit, seriously. One timers make the goalies fall over a lot.

when i play the ol' 09 i play defensively since i like to play in that fashion...good ol' trap style...hehe

Ranked 1-on-1 games are on All-Star difficulty, Normal mode.

Is it just me or is this game slower than NHL 09? I feel like I'm skating in mud sometimes and don't have full control over my guys... kinda sloppy and etc.
