Also what should I checkout tomorrow? gonna wake up early, go down to ge square.

I'll most likely be down there about 6:30am to meet Arnie before he runs, can't wait! I'll most likely be still up anyways, god I love the Olympics, so many open bar events :D poor liver

If you're hoping to get some official Team Canada gear, the Bay downtown is your best bet. However, be prepared to line-up to get into the store. Oh and if your girlfriend is looking for a red "CANADA" hoodie, be prepared to get there early and to fight off other women.

Why the fuck was Arnold Schwarzenegger chosen as a torch runner? Could they not find a Canadian willing to run around Stanley park?

Tim Budong 02-11-2010 08:43 AM

BECUZ
BC has a great partnership with the State of California
we provide them with energy and resources

and Arnold has backed some BC green house movement, plus he loves the city

there is a partnership here guys

I don't have a problem with Arnold running it, when you run 40,000km's you can have a few celebs run with it, olympics is a global thing and Arnold is good publicity

Tim Budong 02-11-2010 10:06 AM

and if ur lookin for ties with the city or BC in general, Arnold has that connection

lilaznviper 02-11-2010 10:23 AM

anyone know who's gonna be running the torch along victoria?

slammer111 02-11-2010 02:04 PM

Anyone else hit up the Opening Ceremony dress rehearsal on Wednesday? All the performers were there too, so free live rock concert. :D

Guys, do NOT miss the opening on Friday. World class performance. This thing was AMAZING. Can't say too much but in terms of effects, it seems to be the best Opening Ceremony I've ever seen compared to previous Olympics.

BAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH Nice bag Kardboard. You're doing it Hangover style.

twitchyzero 02-11-2010 02:09 PM

i took a pic with the torch afterwards (no flames of course)...so it's $500 to keep them for the torchbearers?

HonestTea 02-11-2010 02:29 PM

Does anyone know how easy or how hard it was to be chosen and carry the olympic torch?

skyxx 02-11-2010 02:33 PM

^ You have to have a written essay and go through an Interview process. For the interview process, you need to fly to Toronto. Then after all that, they'll decide if you make it.
