I failed at Ahnuld.

I was about halfway there on my bike (I parked at the south end of Stanley Park) when a couple of bike cops stopped me and said there were too many vehicles coming and that I was not allowed to use the road. They made me turn back.

Not hating on them by any means...they're just looking out for my safety and to be honest, riding around in pitch black was not fun. My light was definitely not enough. One of them was nice enough to lead me back a bit to make sure I didn't get lost.

I thought grown-ups were suppose to teach kids not to play with fire, especially in public area. I hope Trevor was wearing a flame suit cause I sure do need one right about now.

Darthchilli, Kardboard, myself and friends yelled that at the RBC truck yesterday as they were passing 37th and Heather.

I think we scared an old lady.

Heck yes, it was! I was down right on the corner of Thurlow and Georgia. I've never seen Georgia St. with so many people.

Bread and circuses? You betcha.

Not everyone was pumped up, however. A group of anti-Olympic protesters stopped the progress of the flame as it arrived at Victory Square at Cambie and Richards streets shortly after 9 a.m. Organizers chose to re-route the flame rather than try to clear the road of the demonstrators.

It continued on along Keefer Street after a short delay.
