Who's up for a convoy to McD headquarters to protest the end of the sticker coffee card?

Do you intend to redeem your coffee card in the province of Manitoba or in the three listed towns of Ontario? If not, then you can still collect and redeem your physical coffee cards as per the text below.

Note that in the Province of Manitoba, and in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances, Ontario, the on-cup McCafé Rewards program ended as of October 5, 2021. Completed McCafé Rewards cards will be redeemed at participating McDonald’s restaurants in these areas until February 28, 2022.

TLDR: physical cards expire for redemption only in the province of Manitoba and 3 towns in Ontario.

Read that wrong ... so BC will still issue them. OK, I'll stand down.

They expired Feb 28, 2022. So hope the guy who bought them got his free coffees before then!

My understanding was It was only the online coupons that expired. The cards are still good until they run out of the cups with them

Those cards are good for fries at the Still Creek location. Redeemed twice, so far. There's a manager there that allows it. Unless it's accepted everywhere else. I did have an issue the second time around until I told them I got fries the day before. Manager steps in and says, "Fries are okay." I haven't gone recently. Ran out of cards. Plus, haven't been to a McDonald's in a while. Not worth it these days.

Pretty sick of the $3.00 Big Macs during 'Nucks games. Change it up and offer quarter pounder with cheese or even Fillet 'O Fish and maybe I'd go for it.

I still print out the survey offers. Buy a sandwich and get free med fries and medium drink.

I wAnder how much longer the 2X points thing is going to last. The points system kind of sucks. 2X makes it a little better. I guess they realized people aren't that stupid. I go to Burger King, A&W, Timmies, and Wendy's instead of McDick's. Once in a while Red Robin's have good promos. Their burgers are damn good. Worth the price. Last week, they had 50% off "Finest Burgers." Free birthday burgers, Buy 10 get 1 free, etc. Just sign up to their loyalty app.

What annoys me the most about the 2x promotion is that it pops up in the app everytime your start the app with some annoying looping music. I don't need that. I just want to use my coupon and order food.

mikemhg 03-25-2022 11:17 AM

So Mcdonald's is now charging you for a paper bag...

I order in the app and said "no" to the bag charge, the kid brought out my food curbside on a tray :lol

Totally did not expect that.

Seriously, charging for paper bags now McDicks? Fuck off.

MG1 03-25-2022 11:37 AM

FFS.......... just got email saying 2X points is going to end, lololololol..................

Weird timing or what?

Was it in Vancouver? Cause I was at market crossing burnaby and they didn't charge for the bag. Or maybe they did and I didn't notice

It's a CoV thing.

Ban of single-use plastic bags, fee for disposable cups now in effect in Vancouver as of Jan. 1, 2022

One of those rules is that any and all businesses who operate in Vancouver are required to charge 15 cents per paper bag that they put their goods into before you take them out the door (or have them passed to you at a drive-thru window). You can, of course, choose to bring your own bag and not be charged a fee.

Another rule is that every single-use cup now comes with a 25 cent fee. Again, most places allow you to bring your own to-go mug for coffee, tea, etc.

For the average person who goes to McDonald's for a cheap and quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this means an extra 40 cents will be added to their bill.

Ya it was in Vancouver, the Boundary location in fact :lol

Guess I'll stick to Still Creek from now on.

punkwax 03-25-2022 03:04 PM

^dont think you’d burn an extra .25c worth of gas? I know the locations are close but… LUL

6thGear. 03-25-2022 04:56 PM

Still creek Location is so bad. Always forgetting my app order. Last time I went through drive through I waited at spot #1 and they still lost my order

mikemhg 03-26-2022 11:25 AM

Still Creek is definitely one of the worst locations, which is ironic since it's their head office as well. Never quite understood that.

MG1 03-28-2022 12:47 AM

Isn't it a training centre for managers? Lol........... explains a lot.

Wait what?

Odd that other people's experience is so different

Still Creek is actually my preferred location haha, never had an issue. And when there was they made it right.

Also, they don't charge for extra "mayo like" sauce (McChicken sauce)

TOS'd 03-29-2022 02:02 PM

Corporate stores tend to not charge for some extra burger toppings and extra sauce packets. There is one franchise location near me that nickel and dimes for everything, but it's closer than the corporate store that doesn't. :alone:

Entry single time the past 6-8 months

lilaznviper 03-30-2022 01:01 PM

my goto location is still creek when i'm in burnaby and always get my app order correct. only thing is they are slow at curbside pickup. I'll use the drive thru if the line isn't long but most of the time i just park and wait for curbside

lilaznviper 04-03-2022 01:45 AM

Just looked at my app and dont see the meal deal anymore for 6.99. Only got the 2 can dine option
