Depending on the locations, sometimes curbside takes forever. Possibly short staffed at the times I tried. Much faster for me to just park and run in. If using two coupons, I typically order 1 on the app and then check-in and get the pickup number while parked. And then make another order on the app right after while I wait for the first order. |
Nothing is worse than skipping curbside (to be nice to the runners), going drive through instead, only to be told to go wait at curbside for your order :lol |
what do you guys think of the new reward system they have? |
whats the new reward system? |
Info here: https://www.mcdonalds.com/ca/en-ca/g...dsrewards.html TL;DR: For every dollar you spend on eligible purchases, you will receive 100 points. You can use your points to redeem FREE rewards like any size Premium Roast Coffee or a Vanilla Cone starting at 2,000 points! Also any digital reward you have on the app = 300 points each. 2,000 points (Spend $20)
4,000 points (Spend $40)
6,000 points (Spend $60)
10,000 points (Spend $100)
14,000 points (Spend $140)

To be honest, I think that this Rewards Program is corporate greed and frugality at its finest. You need to spend 100 bucks in order to get points to redeem for just a Big Mac?? That is a tonne of fast food to buy in order to get a "Big" Mac or any Happy Meal. My suggestion is to give customers a choice to redeem those points to enter contests for non food prizes or food prizes. Offer better rewards than just food prizes to customers. Examples: Points to redeem for contest entries for $100 or other cash prizes. Video game consoles, Gift cards. etc. |
They also seemed to scale back the "offers" that were previously within the app. Replacing them with shittier offers, along with this "reward" system. |

With the old system, if I grab my family food, I can easily gain 4 reward tabs. Now with the new system, grabbing food for the family can only yield 2000-2500 points which is a far reach for a reasonable redemption. |
It's similar to what Starbucks changed their reward system to. |
Depending on what the prices are, it's basically a 5% discount |
I LOVE McDONALD'S!!! (and you do too!) Market Crossing ran out of medium cups so they are giving you large for $1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
My local McDs has stopped selling poutine and shakes due to supply chain issues. Everything else still a-ok for now. |

Then, there's this................... |
|
Saw on my feeds that $1 coffee is back ... on the 7th or 8th ...wooopeee! |
So we swung by a McD on Saturday, and my wife is looking through her app. And there's a "Buy 6/10 Nuggets, get one free". So we're like ok, sweet, so we order - and as we're waiting to pay, the wife is like hmm something's weird. Turns out the promo, is you get a single nugget for free. :heckno: I guess inflation is hitting McD hard...lol |
Ok I give up trying to post an image but it literally says get a bonus chicken McNugget :lol Verbatim. |

LMAO, ever since Mcdicks rolled out that new reward program, the offers became total shit. |
Are the free coffee stickers useless now and I can throw them out? |

Keep the physical cards, it’s the online cards that expire end of this month Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Coffee cups stick coming with physical cards and stickers so yes, for now, still works. |
Re: Physical cards Note that in the Province of Manitoba, and in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances, Ontario, the on-cup McCafé Rewards program ended as of October 5, 2021. Completed McCafé Rewards cards will be redeemed at participating McDonald’s restaurants in these areas until February 28, 2022. TLDR: physical cards expire for redemption only in the province of Manitoba and 3 towns in Ontario. |
