Sure you can, it just takes a bit more work.

they should serve breakfast all day like in hk

Please do tell!

The only reasonably priced food I've come across is pure starch, which only makes you hungrier. Or there's the nasty "family cafe" food, but I'd take McDonald's over that ;)

If you have other tips of where to get a meal high in protein and fat for under JPY 1000, please let me know!

If you arn't living in tokyo, I can't see it being that bad.

SkinnyPupp 11-26-2009 02:34 AM

What kind of places are you guys talking about then? I'll only be in Tokyo for 1 week in a 3 week trip.

When I was in Kyoto last year, I ate a lot of Loco Moco :)

wuuhoo 11-27-2009 11:17 PM

reading this thread makes me hungryyyyy

mcdonalds down the hill.. hmmmm

mc. 11-28-2009 12:12 AM

fuck, one time had a craving at 3 am, drove down and brought back like $20 worth of food just for me. why dont they press the damn fresh button anymore... makes me suspicious when they say, oh the nuggets are fresh, came out 2 mins ago. If i came down at 3 am i think i can wait the 4 or so mins it takes to make fresh meat + nuggets

If you go to a convenience store or supermarket in the evening, you can usually score the bento boxes at a significant discount, as they just throw it away at the end of the day.

+1 !! Why did they take off the twist cones!?!! =(

Its an increasingly growing trend with McDonald's that their service is really slow compared to other fast food places. Not just at one location either, and has been going on for several years

I find Mcd vanilla cones flavour better tasting than DQ's

but DQ's has the better, smoother texture but twice the price

ienhz 11-28-2009 01:37 PM

the quality of cheeseburgers have gotten so bad at mcdonalds (or at least, around my area). every time i get a double cheeseburger or a mcdouble, the wrapper and burger is literally soaked and covered in grease... you have to pat it down with napkins just to make it edible. every other burger seems fine though but i pretty much never buy cheesebugers there anymore.

freakshow 11-28-2009 02:23 PM

i want nuggets now :(
20pc.. here i come...

lgman 11-28-2009 02:32 PM

Cheap Coffee and Cheap Muffins. The rest I could care less.
I do miss the Mc'Pizza thou.... with all the inherent rumors that it's rat meat.

benwang 11-28-2009 02:55 PM

next time you order your meal, make sure you super size it

Jeffield 11-28-2009 04:47 PM

It sucks that in Hong Kong they have Filet O Fish for breakfast...

and they dont here

also after 10 in Hong Kong at night they have DOUBLE FILET O FISH!

Its freaking awesome not that shrunken small thing here.

winson604 11-28-2009 09:52 PM

After reading this thread I went out and got myself a 10 piece meal with fresh nuggets and fries and it was damn good.

unit 11-29-2009 12:55 AM
