The quality has also gone down. Patties are smaller than ever before, dry and overcooked. Some locations are better than others, but it's just not as good as it used to be. I used to crave it all the time, now I feel like I don't want to eat there even when it's the most convenient and cheapest option FeelsBadMan

convenient and cheapest option?

IMO that was before. I find their drive thru is sooo slow and their food aint cheap anymore. $15 and im still hungry. i prefer A and W

I remember in highschool, I always used to get the two cheeseburger meal. It was combo #5 and would come to $5.55 after tax. They don’t even MAKE that combo anymore and if you wanted it, it’s like almost $13 or something. Oh how the mighty have fallen....

... though I’m feeling it today I think

TurboTalon 03-09-2019 11:58 AM

Anyone know if you can order a junior chicken with ghost pepper sauce? b/c I'm cheap

You can get a burger in Hong Kong for like $2-3 CAD or a set for $5 or so. It's the cheapest way to get a good amount of calories and protein in Hong Kong usually. For the same price at other places, you're getting a bowl of greazy noodles and couple chunks of meat

Used to, at least. The quality has gone down so much I rarely consider it now. Just go for those greazy noodles and be sure there's a toilet nearby LUL

I used to get that one too. They have finally clamped down on people ordering the cheap meals. Now it's $5 for the pop, sm fries and McDouble or Jr Chicken.

Jr Chicken is $1.99 and McDouble $2.39 (I think)
Not quite the bargain anymore.

Honestly can't deal with McDonalds most of the time and when I do go I ask for fresh fries and if I get nuggets fresh nuggets.

They're king of locations readily available but their food has got to be the worst (unless fresh). No joke when I go there's a 75% chance the burgers, fries, and nuggets (especially nuggets) will not be that hot or feel fresh even if I go during a busy lunch rush. With A&W and Wendys' in my experience that percentage has been 0%. That in itself is worth it all I don't want some nuggets that were made 5-10 mins ago and have been sitting in a heat tray. I've never worked in fast food and I doubt Wendy's and A&W is making every single order to order but they are definitely doing something different.

As for the new spicy burger. IS it just the sauce that's spicy or did they bother having the patties made spicy too? Probably not right? Wishful thinking for McDonalds?

Update: ended up getting the #2 combo, which I think is a quarter pounder? Doesn’t really matter but look at that meat-to-bun ratio! Yes the bun is flush with the patty on the left side. Wasn’t very good but still, damn!

Just the sauce. It is pretty good sauce though. You can definitely feel the heat but the McChicken patty itself is super bland. If they made it with the crispy chicken patty it would be awesome.

Quarter Pounder was always good that way, especially the double! That's why I'm pissed they took it off the menu here.

BTW whatever you used to post that picture added a spam link... I removed it already, but you might want to think about using a different app.

Next time I go I'll give it a go. Still like Wendy's Spicy chicken for the go to but I'll try almost anything at least once.

No

mikemhg 03-24-2019 11:43 AM

I don't even get asked to present the coupon, just tell them you have a coupon when ordering, they will never ask you for it when paying.

Just had the McD's Doughnut (Donut) Sticks today in Bellingham. They were pretty good when they were fresh out of the fryer, but now they're like stale chinese bakery, doughnuts. I had to see what all the hype was about. They are a breakfast only item, but the manager at the Walmart McDonald's on Guide Meridian said they serve it basically all day.

As far as I know, they're not available up here.

Gh0stRider 03-25-2019 07:55 PM

I use the kiosk and key in the coupon code in. I just keep the digital copy on my phone or enter the codes into the phones memo pad

carisear 03-28-2019 10:50 AM

I hate how dumb the kiosks are and are limited to 1 coupon code only. like seriously, why limit it to one when you can just do another order.

if i want to use multiple coupons i just go up to the cashier instead. they never say 1 coupon only.

There's a beastly deal on the McDonald's app.

Free any size pop, expires April 5th.

The catch is you can redeem it up to 7 times.

Same ordeal with the 10 nuggets for the price of 6.

When's the McRib coming back? :-)

racerman88 04-08-2019 01:38 PM

Right before they bring back the McPizza..................

I had one in Bellingham about a month ago. Don't think we'll be getting them any time soon. We can ask Dr. Funk. He's RS's official spokesperson for McD's.

donjalapeno 04-09-2019 10:40 AM

McRib is weird to me. Feels like blob of gelatin in bad bbq sauce. I'd take a big mac all day long over the McRib
