the only thing i do not like about this phone is the proprietary usb connector/ charger.. |
My buddy has one and he always whines about the battery life. Is it THAT bad? |
^no its not that bad...tell him to turn off the phone and turn it back on...i suspect there's a bug with the software that doesnt turn off some programs even when u shut it off..ex. wifi..so it keeps draining the battery... I get at least a full day on mine..about 1.5-2 days depending on usage |

Micro USB had 10x better MTBF than Mini USB that we are currently using. It's on all the Nokia phones already. Or I ordered myself this to conver the USB for $2.43. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.35005 |

My friend's X10 only lasts about 18 hours on normal usage while a co-worker's phone can last 1-1.5 days before a recharge. |
it really depends on ur usage and what programs you have opened in the background. and i guess normal usage is different for each person? i have my ebuddy on battery saving mode so my msn msg ain't instant. and i check facebook maybe twice a day on the phone? so really i'm not a heavy user. but if you can stand the iphone. then u can easily stand this phone in terms of battery life. just keep cyling the battery or put on a different fw. speaking of which i put the generic hk fw on the phone ~ went from version .16 back to .14. i'll see what my battery life is like now. then i can say whether or not it's the version's problem. and as for the mobilesincanada promo.. i think there's still one more that's $5.00 ~ if you can't find it.. then look around other sites.. $20 is not worth it |
when u say cycle the battery, do u mean use till its dead, than charge fully? |
I think he meant buy a second battery and cycle through them... |
oops i guess i should say DEEP CYCLE.. drain it til it's dead and then charge it up. do it a couple times. and i recommend if you don't need handwrite recognition pop in the generic UK firmware or even the generic x10a firmware. difference is uk is .16 x10a is .14firmware but it's 100x better than the rogers one. and ppl figured out how to reverse the flashing now if you ever need to rebrand it for warranty or whatever |
is there any store in vancouver sells white x10a thats a bit cheaper than on rogers? |

^ so charge whenever u want i guess |
Yup BTW I bought an HTC Desire. After 8 years, I am moving from Windows Mobile |
oh my god this phone is hard to learn and use. i've had it for one day and i cannot stand it at all. sold it on the next day. don't like tiimescape or media scape don't like where the call log is where you have to go through dialer don't like how it shows the last message in messages. have to press a button to show all threads don't like how when missed call or new message. i have to scrow down from the top and see it on the notification area |
