don't blame the phone. blame the OS if u don't like the function

i know cycling not suppose to do anything to lithium ion batteries, but the battery life did improve. but then again it might be coz i debranded the phone and got rid of a bunch of crap

ok... so i got my x10a from rogers this morning, unlocked it now i need the Internet settings for FIDO.. since im using it with fido.

anyone know how to set up the internet setting? sorry im new with this android.

Are you guys having troubles charging? I left my phone to die fully because I didn't have a charger on me and now when I plug it in it gives me that 2% battery warning and shuts off. Does that over and over.

Any suggestions?

Nevermind, it turns out it takes a while to recognize that it's charging when it's <2% battery.

never had that problem as i drain my phone completely a lot coz i keep forgetting to charge it ~ i use the usb charger and it flashes the red dot for a while when it's has really low battery while charging instead of giving u a solid charging light

When you flash fw do you lose everything and all your settings? Does the fw affect the battery life at all? My battery life sucks shit. Barely lasts a day of regular usage..

hmm ya you'll lose everything when u flash ~ but i synced my contacts and stuff with the SE online thingy so not a big deal for me. the only setting i need is internet.fido.ca anyways. as for battery life. i'm not sure if the branded rogers fw uses more battery or not. but mine have really good battery life. i have timescape set on 30mins auto update gps disabled wifi disabled unless i need it. and i use advance task killer to kill everything that i don't need running. if i forget to run advance task killer in the beginning when the battery is full.. then it dies fast.. just run it once in a while to make sure there's nothing that shouldn't need to be running is running

just got my mw600 ~ too bad it doesn't come in white ~ i guess i can't ask for too much eh?

Thanks, Sony Ericsson for making the disappointment that is Timescape and Mediascape, and launching the damn phone with 1.6 while 2.2 is almost ready to be launched.

X10 is a massive fail.

I sold mine after 2 weeks.

I could tell it's crap within 5 minutes

My Desire should be here tomorrow or the day after. Played with that a bit, now that is a nice interface! I wasn't a big fan of HTC's 1.6 devices, but they fixed everything I hated about them (well except they still use capacitive screens, but that's something I'll just have to get used to)

I don't see why people care so much about the look of a phone.. Unless it is really fugly who cares? Look at how the X10 performs.. It looks pretty but it's a piece of shit.

Besides, I think it looks good. The gunmetal colour and rubberized gripped is unique but not over the top, so it's cool. I don't really like the US version though (Droid Incredible) that is a bit too much. But again, it wouldn't stop me from buying the phone if it was the best choice for me otherwise.

lol, people never learn. SE makes crap phones. especially smartphones. they haven't done anything decent since the k800i. did no one remember the X1? god, that was an AWFUL phone.

HTC has really gotten it together. they make amazing phones and i don't know why anyone would buy this piece of crap over ANY HTC android phone. i'm guessing that rogers x10 commercial that play every 5 minutes suckered a lot of people into buying it :lol

um what's the hate with the phone? coz it doesn't come with 2.1 or 2.2? QQ more ~ the phone has been rooted so soon u can put whatever the fuk u want on it. spec wise it's pretty damn good without the multitouch which i can care less about, and i don't have the battery issue people are crying about which leads you to think ppl just doing something wrong with their phone. personal opinion i don't mind timescape or mediascape it's not like it's taking up my resources or draining my battery. as long as it works, and beside there are always apps u can get off markets to replace it

Wow when did this turn into a x10 bashing thread? My battery life has become really good. I can last at least a day and a half now. the version of Android really doesnt matter, it's pretty much the same. The only difference is extra screens.

I think the X10 is a nicely/solidly built phone. You can always turn off mediascape and timescape too if you don't like it.

yes, x10 2.2 has been rooted last week, but no testing has been done.
and keep that in mind...probably 9.5/10 owners have never rooted or know how to root a phone before.
I rooted my WM5.0 to 6.5 rom, it's never as good as the oem rom.

my ex-x10 was a POS, the voice quality was so low and I couldn't feel the vibration mode.
