The Americans are better at killing themselves than any other group. Al Queda who?

Yuffa 04-09-2010 02:27 PM

It's kinda what I do now anyway....Protein > Carb!

SkinnyPupp 04-13-2010 03:38 AM

Here's an excellent post on the double down. It confirms my thoughts on it - it is not as unhealthy as a similar burger you'll get at a fast food place, and doesn't cause a huge sugar spike. Also, it will keep you fuller longer.

If you really think high protein/high fat is bad for you, and low fat/high carb is good, you need to open your eyes.

Meowjin 04-13-2010 03:43 AM

yes keep eating processed foods. It does you good.

SkinnyPupp 04-13-2010 03:45 AM

Yes because nobody who freaks out about the double down ever eats at restaurants.

Fast food is the downfall of the north american society. How many 3rd generation canadians/americans know how to cook? I was damn lucky that I sucked up alot of knowledge before my mom died. I was 11. I feel bad for my friends who eat out every day.

SkinnyPupp 04-13-2010 03:55 AM

I know fast food sucks. I wouldn't call it the downfall of society though :lol And something like the Double Down is actually an improvement over pretty much everything else, so it's ironic that people are freaking out about it.

If they can go back to using animal oil to fry the food in, replace all buns with chicken breasts, and use real cheese and bacon, this would actually be a pretty damn healthy meal. Unfortunately, what people think is healthy is literally the opposite of true, so that will never happen.

Meowjin 04-13-2010 04:22 AM

any meal that makes you feel like shit after is never a healthy meal.

SkinnyPupp 04-13-2010 04:25 AM

Any meal without a huge amount of carbs doesn't make you feel like shit. So you're right, the double down is healthy ;)

Meowjin 04-13-2010 04:28 AM

fuck why am i still awake.

SkinnyPupp 04-13-2010 04:52 AM

Probably from a blood sugar spike from your high carb dinner ;)

Blurry because I didn't let my camera focus, I was too fucking hungry.

Got it the day after Tiesto on my way back. Chicken was a bit salty.
Very filling though, considering the chicken pieces were huge.
KFC chicken thighs in Seattle were HUGE!!

Fafine 04-13-2010 08:18 PM

the fuck? i was looking forward to it

2damaxmr2 04-13-2010 08:23 PM

I believe there is a KFC in Bellingham which is only 30mins south of the border.

filth 04-13-2010 08:34 PM

the article says their testing the market for it for first, then maybe later if its successful, we'll get it. I wont drive all the way down there just to try it though haha
