HonestTea 10-24-2010 04:47 PM

Disillusion_10 10-24-2010 04:48 PM

Man everytime the commercial comes on I wanna go get one but still think it's way too expensive considering the double down is so small

Dude, it's like 8 bucks. If you want to try it once go for it. it's not like wanting a new car but having a tough decision because of the price. :p

this thread makes me hungry :drool

doublicious chicken sandwich good?

!SG 10-25-2010 06:12 AM

tried it, too salty, too dense. the coating on the 2 pieces of chicken more than makes up for the lack of bread in the sandwich...

I find you have to make sure you get a good ratio of chicken to bacon/cheese, or else it will be too salty. Also I find it is best to ensure to not let your tongue come in direct contact with the cheese and bacon.

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of eating!?

You have to strategize the bite to ensure optimal chicken:bacon:cheese ratio while at the same time ensuring the taste of the bacon and cheese is buffered by the chicken from your tongue to prevent over-saltification.

Tried it on Saturday, way too dry and not worth the $10. (I got the combo)

Narayan 10-26-2010 08:25 AM

I had it for the first time yesterday and maybe because I was starving but I thought it was very tasty! and I was really full after wards too.

I'll be ordering it again

I'm going down for the US of A version. I assume it's better (and cheaper)

Spectre_Cdn 10-27-2010 12:04 PM

^ It's cheaper but not "better" - it's the same salty thing down there.

It cost me $8.60USD for the combo, and it wasn't better cause they just used old chicken thats been sitting there. Might have been better if i requested for fresh, but it would've been still salty.

bloodmack 10-27-2010 01:53 PM

Double downs are best at KFC's with high traffic.

I say this as I eat one :P

twitchyzero 10-27-2010 02:53 PM
