That would of been a good price if it was a combo, still can't justify the price just for a single sandwich!

Even in the states, its 4.99, which is expensive by fast food standards down there too. I guess it's just a marketing ploy to get people to buy it, and it's working.

It's the KFC NSX. It's the over-expensive flagship that's the ideal of the brand.

I love it.

Like the dollar menu at McDicks or BK. And its all pretty much the same crap down there compared to up here.

If it was 4.99, more people would probably buy it, but at a loss of more profits for them.

TOPEC 10-21-2010 08:43 PM

just tried my first one today
i will reserve my judgment until i try another location
the one i had today was SUPER SALTY, so salty i couldn't even taste anything else.
but ya its kind of expensive for what it is.

oh and this location was the one on no 3 road by williams.

You know what I just noticed from the US McDonalds Menu.

Its cheaper to get the $1 4 nuggets than the 6/10/20 pcs nuggets price at the bottom of their menu.
Don't know why they still have it on their menu.

But yeah..I want nuggets!! Its so overpriced here in Canada.

I tried the KFC Double Down today.
It was good, but not great. Kind of disappointing.

I opened up the sandwich and the two strips of bacon were TINY, pathetic. Cheese was not melted either like the picture. I actually brought the open sandwich up to the counter and asked the worker, "Where's the rest of the bacon??" LOL

Anyways, the KFC box meal is a way better deal for $8-9.

only select McD locations have the $1 for 4 McNuggets..

the only one I know of is the premium outlet one...all the others I've gone too e.g Bellingham they don't have the $1 for 4 McNugget deal

dark0821 10-22-2010 06:51 AM

me and 124Y tried it...and was pretty good
i think the 12min wait we had to endure was probably why... fresh batch hahaha

the chesse was melted and all... but we couldnt even hold it in our hands or bite into it for liek the first 5 min after we got them =.=

so I went to churchs chicken and asked if they had Double Down, the guy didn't understand what it was.

so i just ordered two chicken sandwiches.

on the way out, I realized it's a KFC thing.

sonick 10-24-2010 04:08 PM

Tried it last night, it was pretty good. It is salty if you have too much bacon or cheese in a bite, but if you have a good ratio of chicken:bacon:cheese, then it's pretty good.

The chicken patties were surprisingly moist and juicy.

illicitstylz 10-24-2010 04:15 PM

popcorn chicken > doubledown
