how does the league thing work?
I just started playing 1v1 last week...was placed in silver after 3 win 2 loss

then I played about 20 games (15 vs Gold, 3 vs Silver, 1 vs Bronze, 1vs Plat)

Gold: 10 win, 4 loss, 1 tie (I won that game, but it shows as tie when i check the record...wtf)
Silver: 2 win, 1 loss
Bronze: 1 win, 0 loss
Plat: 0 win, 1 loss

How do you advance your league? I thought if you beat a higher league player a few times you would get promoted?

Anyone play custom games like Storm of the Imperial Soldiers?

It takes more than just a few games to move up. I don't keep track of who i beat but i placed platinum originally and after going 35-30ish they moved me to diamond now.

its taking me forever to get bumped up @@ i will be on a win streak of like 4 games and then they throw in this rank 4 diamond player who completely destroys me LOL. boooo

The system also calculates your play style into the equation. If you can micro and stuff well you will move up faster

Roaches seem to be cool new kid on the block.

When playing against zerg, if they go roaches there isn't really anything I can do as protoss unless you go immortals.

sentry block base choke w/ field n let the stalkers rape a few roaches at a time while you tech voidray/carrier/colossus/storm

stalkers already can rape roaches.

I don't think so...

From my experience, roaches are tanks and have ridiculous armour. IMO, 1 roach can probably face 2 stalkers.

naw they r weak against them in a straight fight.. u need the concave at the top of ur highground... ionno i play zerg and 5 stalker push can always finish off a bad toss that doesnt use sentries :)
