That's weird. I'm trying to do this on Toxic Slums. Official Blizzard 8 player map.

After 3 AI are in one Team, I can't seem to drag and drop in one more.
Can't make a 4th empty slot either.

Cnguyen 09-03-2010 02:41 PM

is it split 4 on top and 4 on bottom? You should try dragging yourself to the bottom team, then add 4 AI comps. (if you haven't tried that already)

Go DTs to Harass. You don't have to go 4 gate. 1 or 2 will be fine as long as your team can defend.

Hit multiple points at the same time. Assuming that theres at least ONE Terran, they'll use up a bunch of scans just to find you.

Send like a Zealot to test your route if your allies haven't already. Just like run up through the front and behind the Natural Expo's mineral line.

Warp Prism also works. This also lets you get an observer out of your robo to check for for detectors.

is it just because i'm a zerg player or is Collosus (spelling?) rigged?

I seriously can't come with a counter if the opponent goes stalkers + collosus.

at first.. i see them going for stalkers, so i quickly get hydras at the beginning of the game.

then when they get collosus, I have no idea what to do anymore..

I've tried infestors, mutas, and corruptors....

all failed...

note.. i don't have much time before he makes an attack.. so there is no way for me to get broodlords..

I'm always countering ppl instead of getting countered...

Ulic Qel-Droma 09-11-2010 12:13 AM

^mass speed lings and kill him before he gets collosi?

turbomelon 09-11-2010 12:25 AM

stalkers can be beatdown by speedlings so no need really to tech to hydras to counter them. As for colossi could throw out some zerglings to deal with the stalkers and corruptors to deal with the colossi if its early on only 1 or 2 corruptors would probably do.

I would push out some ultralisks if your initial push backs with corruptors is successful and they keep going for colossi.

SpuGen 09-11-2010 01:31 AM

Muta + Roach VS Collosi.
Flank with Speedlings.

Should work.

I know this has been posted already but I think it's too far back but I'm finally on the last mission now... I took out the Nydus network (might have been idea) and I have no idea wtf I should do to defend :/ I tried turrets + siege tanks but somehow I still got owned lol

So you did the Mission to take out the Nydus Network?

If yes, I can't answer you with a legit strategy cause I took out the Spires.

But Viking/Thors/Turrets should do the trick.
Thors have splash + Long range vs Air. 250mm Strike Cannons should be great against Kerrigan.
Vikings have Long range as well. I think they have an upgrade for splash..but I don't remember. Vikings are CHEAP though. and you can Starport+reactor to pump them out really quickly.
Turrets RAPE Air units. This should be your backup in case you're busy elsewhere.
Use Mercenaries if you have to.

If you took out the Spires like most people did, just wall + Bunkers + Tanks
Banshees + Splash Damage upgrade to take out the Nyduses(sp?).
Mercenaries when the nyduses spawn in your base just behind the cliff of the Artifact.

And of course... FOCUS FIRE.
Let the Thors do thier thing though since they do splash damage.

mb_ 09-11-2010 07:37 AM

can't believe i forgot about thors

what a way i ended it.. the artifact only had like 50hp in the end and i hit the energy nova shit just before it was 100% :D

shawn79 09-11-2010 12:53 PM

someone just dropped hack me in 2v2

Gt-R R34 09-11-2010 10:43 PM

Kaolinite 09-12-2010 02:02 PM

Maybe if the toss is dumb enough to go straight stalkers.

Just move your stalkers/sentry force along a wall when you see speedlings and spam FF

actually.. my problem is stalkers + collosi.

mutas and roaches would get roasted by the stalkers before the 2nd collosi falls..

usually i'm faving 2-3 collosi..

no one ever attacks me with only 1 collosi behind many stalkers.

shawn79 09-12-2010 05:24 PM

zergling can destroy stalkers

for col best bet is roaches moving while burrow to kill it with about 5, should do

That's all about positioning. Of course lings can get annihilated if you force them on a ramp and cut down the surface area, its about positioning yourself correctly and having the right units to counter a stalker/colossus push. I'm not saying to straight push lings all the time, but by the time he gets colossi out you should have the requisite units to counter it along with whatever lower tier units a zerg player used to keep away the early pressure if they push out with stalkers early on. I'm talking about a specific situation if they have a heavy stalker army to support a colossus. And ultras/roaches are good against a late game push. Easiest way to deal with colossus is corruptors.. and one easy way to counter stalkers is lings.

FerrariEnzo 09-12-2010 08:45 PM

i did the mission where i choose to blow up the muta den so theres no flyers on the last mission.. man was this a good option..

on the last mission, i just placed a few more bunkers and placed a row of fire turrets in front of the bunks and tanks behind. also left 3-4 scvs to repair any damages... it was an EASY win..

all i did was pump out tanks and fix/build the front line defense.. they never made it into my base... except for the worms.. but they were dealt with fast from my tanks..

also made about 5-6 BCs to deal with karrigen...

Lrn2FocusFire.

Roaches have Armor. They absorb so much Collossi Damage.
Use your roaches and Mutas to focus fire on the Collossi.

The threat is over. Now flank with lings. and micro your Mutas around.

If the protoss has tier 3 units (collosus) then there's no reason why you shouldn't have ultralisks backed by infestors or zerglings for cannon fodders. I'm pretty sure they can't forcefield the ultras since ultras are oversized units and can just destroy the forcefield. FYI ultras DESTROY stalkers and don't hurt much from pretty much anything

If you're massing up tier 2 units like mutas, then you don't wait until you clash armies, because tier 3 > tier 2. You take your mutas and kill his mineral lines, preferably the gas ones first. Do it continuously so they have to mass the army inside the base for nervous defense. Go back and forth between his main and natrual expo so they cant leave their base, and you have map control. You can take the match easily from that point IMHO.

Zerg gotta use its mobility to harrass, pretty much the only way to win since tanks and collosus pwn us.

On a side note, could someone please post the new patch notes here since my company websense blocks bnet? :D

Oshin 09-14-2010 10:41 PM

so anyone here in the diamond league in 1v1 or 2v2 or any. Just wondering because me and my friend went 5-0 and we were placed at platinum. How does one determine their league? Still not quite how this ranking thing works. We were facing a lot of diamond players on the way so there isn't really like if u were gold league, you will face gold people only. Oh and if anyone interested to team up with a protoss player, gimme a shout. I prefer to play with people that are decently good. No noobs thanks =)
