Awesome new series.. I just downloaded the action novel (comic) and noticed a few differences, but the show still follows the general story.

Someone is definitely going to get bit soon.. common, its a zombie genre.. its a given. :thumbsup:

Hmmm, so it seems this season threw in a ton of filler, at this rate the show will never catch up to the comic, even though the comic is written at a 24 pages/month rate. Does anyone know what issue we're at in the show? Like 3 or 4 ?

^^well its only the 3rd episode so it sounds like its in line :D (if we're on issue 3 or 4)

Episode 1 was issue 1 pretty much.

But then episode 2 and episode 3 were...uh...pretty much made up shit that wasn't in the comic.

They are. This story doesn't exist in the comics.

They probably just made this first 6-episode season with stuff that isn't in the comic to get people excited about the series and then get into the real shit in season 2.

I don't care if it's filler and not true to the comics. It's great entertainment.

Exactly!!! Since when has there been a Comic (or book) based Show/Movie that has followed what was in the Comic??? NEVER!!!!

I never said it isn't good but it's still filler.

If something followed the source material exactly, it would probably be much, much better than some pandering garbage directed toward the mainstream. For example, the Hitman movie is NOTHING like the Hitman video games and as a result, the movie was terrible.

The Walking Dead looks like it WILL follow source material but not right now. It's still very good but what's going on right now is something else entirely from the actual story.

Nobody's arguing that it isn't entertaining...but it's still filler not found in the source material...that's all I was pointing out. If you haven't read the comic then you don't need to worry about anyone calling it filler.


Dragon ball Z, it actually followed the plot so hard that it caught up with the manga and had to start putting in filler cause the show had to wait for the next book to come out haha.
