No, no, you sir are not clearly getting it, you think my new design is just an add on, I think you need to take a course in car design to see that the new front end I made, from the hood panels to the tip of the bumper, is nothing like the 300zx. It has new curves and characteristics, thus a new car and a new car design. |
That's an absolutely faulty argument. It's what we call "Affirming the Consequent": "If it is a new car, I added a new front end. I added a new front end, Therefore, it is a new car." New curves and characteristics do NOT make a new car. When someone adds a body kit to a car, is it a new car? NO, yet that falls under "adding new curves and characteristics". Does it also constitute a new car once someone adds window visors to their car, which technically changed the car's curves? OH SHIT, then !SG MUST have created a NEW car our of his Lexus GS400 when he added them! No wait, it's STILL a Lexus GS400, not the "!SG Namie Ho Baller Machine". Another example, the front valence of my Passat is broken, which causes the lip to sag. Even if it's a two inch difference from unbroken, it still "added new curves". OH MY GOD, do I have a new car? NO, it's still a fucking Passat. If this was a "new car", you would have built your own original chassis, and designed your own rear end, interior, and sourced or built your own new engine. ps. !SG sorry I had to being you into this, but your GS was a decent example for my analogy. |
Well excuse me Mr.Politically Correct, okay its not a new car :p |
Then why are you saying "it's a new car"? You seemed to unendingly insist that it was, so why would you back down now? A lot of people have you credit for what you're pulling off, but you completely dismiss the critics as completely wrong when they had VERY strong points argued (namely the Veilside FD being a redesign but is still an RX-7). I gave you credit in the beginning, but you keep blinding yourself with your own passion and completely ignoring the arguments of others. Maybe there would be some serious success in the US car show scene back in 2002, but in the Northwest or even the West Coast where people aim for flushness, it's not going to bode well. I was like "Hey, this might be able to go somewhere" when I saw the thread come up, until you came down with a serious case of the stupid. |
I gave birth to a new car design, these North westerners can keep their flushness and 2002 modding days, I seek customers that recognize a nice looking car for what it is. (namely the Veilside FD being a redesign but is still an RX-7). I dont remember this. |
http://www.turn3creative.com/channel...veilsideFD.jpg Veilside did exactly what you are doing, a COMPLETE redesign of the body of an FD RX-7. Now riddle me this...is it still an FD? YES IT IS. The body is different, BUT IT IS STILL AN RX-7. You haven't given birth to anything other than a new body kit. The car was, is and always will be known as a 300ZX. Adding a body kit changes NOTHING about the 300ZX. |

^ Agreed! The 300zx is a classic beauty that will still look good decades from now. |

ForeverFresh604 is this Veil side kit a new car design or not? That is what Im claiming, I made a new car design. http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/vn2-thumb.jpg |
Holy shit dude, wtf are you taking about? You're tell me that the 350z's, NSX's, Zonda were all designed with crayon and craft paper? Do you know how hard and how many man hours it takes to design a car with autocad program? I'm not ridiculing you for playing with photoshop, i'm ridiculing you for calling yourself some professional car designer. Autocad programs are precise and helps with consistency, you look like you're scaling your design with a 30cm ruler. If you really want to be a car designer, go to school and learn. |
My car design is basically finished, go find some amateurs to take your advice. |

Like you designed anything car related in your life. Mods should give warnings and after bans to trolls in this thread. |
I wouldnt consider that Veilside NSX a new car design, its just a full body kit. In my opinion, a "new design" would be from the chassis up. Something like the P4/5. You are designing a body kit, not a car. |
you can't even take constructive criticism and haven't even made any valid points to defend yourself. Good luck. |
I mostly see trolling and attacks in this thread, so is your post. What am I suppose to defend my self against? I ask the questions and you guys keep your silence because your are in the wrong. Quote:

Well I changed my post to be more respectful, you calling my designs ugly ass is some thing I can respect though, not the shit that has been spewed all over my build thread. |

See this is where you and I differ. It does not just take styling cues, its a copy, even more so then what Mazda did to the Nissan Essence. To RevScene members I dont care to debate what a new car is or what a new car design is, it is what it is, if you dont like it you dont have to buy it or click in this threat to troll. |
Arash, let me ask you this; Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |
