No problem! I've noticed more impark attendants around so maybe they're catching onto people trying to get free parking

Does anyone here know how the waitlist works?
I recently got a message saying ''. However, this program currently has a waitlist. Admissions has placed you on the waitlist for the next available seat.''
Does that mean that CISA is full?

When I was on wait list they told me show up to classes so you don't miss any lectures and as people drop out they make room, not sure about your case though gotta talk to the program head

+1
Talk to the program head to make the arrangements. Sometimes, it depends on the program/course/instructor. I was originally on the wait list for the Cisco program but the program head and instructor told me to come anyway. Three people dropped out the first night of class.

I think it really depends on the program. They probably have records to go by given the nature of the course and predict a few people will drop out.

How long were you wait-listed for?
I applied for the course a bit early like December 4, 2013.(The opening registration is Nov 15)
Then I received this waitlist message on Jan 9, 2014
The intake is at Sept

I was waitlisted for my program in November, had to wait til Mar/Apr till I was accepted. My program is 10 months from Sept-Jun and only 20 seats.
But it all depends on course/program. Ie. single course, program course, full time program, etc.

Anyways regarding your situation, is the program intake in September 2014? Also what program or course is it, because the more typical structured program where you go to many courses with different teachers will have a higher chance of being accepted because there are more students in the program, thus having more chances of drop outs. Where as my program only has 20 spots, means less chance of one of the 20 dropping out. I wouldn't fret though, in my case, there was a $100(i think) fee that needed to be paid before a certain month to hold a seat. So if someone doesn't pay, they would get dropped and the next in line would get their spot. Also the rest of the tuition is due by June or July(cant remember), so if they dont pay off the tuition, they lose their spot and the next guy in line would get in.

You might get accepted around early Feb of Mid July programs follow these general deadlines which I received. - To reserve your seat you must pay a $100.00 commitment fee by February 06, 2013. This commitment fee will be applied to your first level tuition fees. It is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Pay your tuition fees. Your first level tuition fees, minus the commitment fee are due on July 5, 2013.

I have a stupid question:
I noticed that almost everyone has a laptop or tablet PC in class. Most of the course material (in my program anyway) was delivered via PDF files through D2L.
When I whipped out my binder with paper, I was instantly laughed at. Is it the norm these days for most classes to use laptops/tablets? I see people taking notes this way when I'm the only guy in class taking notes using paper. Am I missing something here?

lol you got a buncha hipsters in your class my friend. No one brings laptops to take notes in any of my classes. It's a total inconvenience to use a laptop and especially a tablet. |

I thought maybe I was the only hipster
Sorry, I should have clarified. A majority of the course material is delivered using PDF files so it's helpful for people to have a laptop/tablet. I'm sitting here looking at the projector the whole time.

It's not really a stupid question. As a matter of fact I still take notes on paper sometimes as well even if I know for a fact I can find all the lecture notes on the share out or in a pdf text.
There's something about writing stuff out that helps me remember.
Also sometimes teachers have horrible wording or their grammar confuses me.
If I get clarification on what it actually means, I can write it out in a way that makes sense to me afterwards.

Seriously, I felt retarded for not having some sort of stupid device with the course material in front of me. I would print it out but it's just a waste of paper.
Oh well, I'm just gonna keep on hipsting.
