Sorry guys haven't spent too much time on RS, been studying....

Gas prices for today:

$0.90 Regular
$0.92 89 Oct
$0.94 92 Oct

Cheapest I saw for regular was $0.88/litre at one of the other stations.

After putting some though into it, I don't think I'll be able to pick stuff up for you guys! Sorry!!!

genuis. why didn't I think of that.

If you're referring to me, I work in Delta, about 15 minutes away from Point Roberts. so why not?
Premium gas is a bitch, I save a good $15-20 on a full tank

65L at ~$1.25/L in Canada = ~$80.00
65L at ~$0.94/L in the States = ~$60.00

CP.AR 10-26-2010 09:59 PM

Prices for today:

same as above post... but one thing:

Regular border lines are FREAKING PACKED. If it's like this at point bob's, I can't imaging it at peach arch, or the other crossings.

Yeah, I wonder what's going on. I went down to Blaine last Friday after work. Took a good 30 mins in the NEXUS lane at the truck crossing which is really unusual for NEXUS.

I filled up @ $3.49/gallon for premium in Bellingham. (at the Shell across from Bellis Fair) That works out to about $0.94CDN which seems to be the same as Pt Roberts.

ForbiddenX 10-26-2010 10:30 PM

Went down to pick a package a week ago and the lines were pretty packed. Other times I went it was <5 minute wait.

That's because of the high dollar. I go to point Roberts pretty often and i go only on Monday to Friday. The one time i went on Saturday it took me 30 minutes and by the time i got to tsb they were almost closed.

PiuYi 10-26-2010 11:32 PM

went to point roberts this past fri n it was 96.9 for 92oct :( plus a decent 20min wait coming bak (non-NEXUS)

illicitstylz 10-26-2010 11:48 PM

Blaine today, Chevron on H street. 3.29/gal

$0.865 / L before conversion.

I got 4 rims and 4 tires recently and that costed me $34 USD, and they can also accept Canadian.

X-small 1 to 15 pounds $3.00
small 16 to 25 pounds $4.00
medium 26 to 35 pounds $5.00
large 36 to 50 pounds $7.00
X-large 51 to 100 pounds $9.00
XX-large 101 to 150 pounds $18.00

and does the Chevron there have 94 octane? or is it only Texaco? I'd rather go with Chevron since I always use it, but Texaco wouldn't hurt I guess..

Wow, that's expensive..
Why don't you use the letter carrier. It is wayy cheaper.
I picked up rims and tires and it was less than $15 IIRC

CP.AR 10-27-2010 11:49 AM

Texaco in the states = chevron

i believe that Texaco gas doesn't contain ethanol...quote me if I am wrong but last time I went, i didn't see the sticker

tonyzoomzoom 10-27-2010 07:16 PM

I'm hoping the same as I didn't see the sticker either; but Chevron had the sticker; so if the two have the same gasoline then.... :(

Which station had 94? I was under the impression that Washington state doesn't have 94 anymore.

hirevtuner 10-30-2010 08:08 PM

i know they don't carry 94. only 92 is the highest

CP.AR 10-30-2010 08:22 PM

NO 94, 92 is max

87, 89, 92 are the only options you get, well diesel too if you count that.
They do use ethanol... in all their grades

excuse my chinglish :p i meant i couldn't find any 94. only 92 and they all have ethanol...wtf.....

is this like mandated by WA law? ALL gas station have to put ethanol crap in their gas?

optiblue 10-31-2010 04:55 PM

Booo... they're trying to kill cars that require a minimum of 93 octane :(

hirevtuner 12-04-2010 11:20 PM

went to Texaco yesterday, they contain ethanol now FUUU!!

syee 12-04-2010 11:30 PM

WA state has a mandate that 2.5% of gas sales must be "bio-diesels". All the pumps I've seen in the border areas are all "up to" 10% ethanol. It looks like it's been this way since 2006.

Here's a list of ethanol free gas stations in WA: http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=WA

Looks like the closest to the border is the Conoco in Burlington.

RevRav 12-05-2010 02:28 AM

Any recent price updates? :)

tonyzoomzoom 12-05-2010 11:33 AM

88c/L for reg and 94c/L for premium @ texaco (last week)

RevRav 12-05-2010 04:31 PM

Have anyone ever have trouble at the border before, just because you told them you went down for gas... and you're not bringing back any "goods"?

Does the officer start staring at you funny....and suspect you're not declaring stuff?

satek 12-06-2010 03:03 PM

Went to Point Roberts today to get gas. Got into PR just fine, but coming back they decided to search my car. The boarder guard was quite rude. In the end they didn't tax me just searched my car for 10mins. $30 for 30Ls of 92 :)
