Problem for me is that it's very icey and powdery in spots. So sometimes you can turn easy on ice but when your on powder it's like the powder makes it harder to turn. I've yet to see one person flow the whole thing without stopping. Really dont understand the whole "virgin powder" thing as on that run it sucks ass and just causes you to bail.

When I went in January it was very icy. But under normal conditions its probably not that bad and for sure doable.

Hey Vangruver, are you going to be up at Cypress with the others on Saturday? If so, I'd love to come up and learn a few things off of you.:)

probably.

Saturday's looking good for weather, but Sunday's looking the best so far.

I'm not truly sure, as my plans keep changing?!

I'm going to say yes right now.

I'm going up at 2pm. No new snow though according to the website.
I haven't been in like 2 weeks so I don't care :failed:

saveth 03-19-2011 10:20 PM

I was up there when skychair opened, it was awesome. There was good snow until about noon on the greens and until 3'for the blues. After 5 all the runs were hard packed. When I left at 8 the mountain was dead. Overall it was a good day to be on the mountain. I'll post a pic of skychair when I get on a computer.

I just went to Seymour for the first time ever....3rd time (5th session) snowboarding.

Had lots of fun. I hear lots of reviews that puts this mountain on the bottom of the local mountains.....but i'm still learning, so what do i know, huh?

I'm just so happy i was actually able to stop and glide on my toes now!! I just brought myself to a whole new level of suck!!

This weekend...its Hemlock Valley! Hooray for free passes.

PS. I hate rope tows.

It's not too hard. Just stick to the blue run. As long as you can carve, you'll be fine.
