why why why in anybodys goddamn mind think its a good idea/even an option to drive with summer tires IN THE GODDAMN SNOW :seriously: :fulloffuck:

Anyone out there on the streets yet that can give a quick report? I look out my window and streets look real icy.

yray 02-05-2017 07:11 AM

Main roads are good, side roads were a little icy but no slipping for me on winters. Ice is pretty dry.

Edmonds to downtown.

Here's the view this morning - the spot on the right is where they started and it took them about an hour to get it to move forward about 35 feet or so (about an hour as I watched more than 1 episode of SUITS while it happened).

I took at a look at their tires and they're Pirelli P Zero Nero "All-Seasons" - Tirerack has them at a 6.4 out of 10 for winter traction, the 10th rated in it the category of Ultra High Performance All-Seasons (the same category as the ExtremeContact DWS).

Drove out to the outer reaches of Ridge and into Mission the other night, it was snowing like crazy and there was at least 15" of snow on the ground my friends Ram was lifted (stock lift option) and the snow still reached his bumper

so many downed trees and stuck cars it was quite an odd site for our parts

neighbours M class was stuck on their plowed but steep driveway lmao

I was actually hoping to wake up to a ton of more snow, I love the snow :)

ZordosZZ 02-05-2017 12:04 PM

Was getting gas before i went to work today and seen some benz stuck so i tried helping him push with no luck. There was a H2 filling up and offered to pull the guy out. Benz driver whips out jumper cables and starts feeling under his bumper for the tow point. I popped the tow cover on his bumper and then he starts shoving one of the jumper clamps in, i had to go to his trunk to find the tow hook.

Was in a rush to get to work otherwise i wouldve let him try the jumper cable for lolz. I happened to have a tow cable in my emergency kit (thought it was just rope) so we used that. Didnt see what kind of tires he had but they were bald.

Oshiguru 02-05-2017 12:34 PM

I just cleared a foot of snow from my speed3 and cx5 then went inside to take a poop. Went out and it had another 2-3 inch layer on it.

I love this snow. If anyone wants a good spot to practice spinning out, the secondary lots by Cloverdale rec are big, flat and empty.

I'm also really impressed with Can Tire. Delivered my tires for the speed 4 days earlier than expected and I was able to mount/balance them Friday.
