GG to the people who've decided two weeks ago to change back to summer/all season tires LOL

It went from table salt size snow to corn flakes. I thought I cleared the driveway, goes in to take a break comes out to more snow. :fuuuuu: I just washed the car a couple of days ago... :QQ:

I don't understand what goes through the mind of someone who continues to drive when their car handles like that in this weather. FailFish

Traffic snarled, SFU classes cancelled due to snow in Metro Vancouver - British Columbia - CBC News

Watch the little video in the link lol

Obsideon 02-03-2017 01:30 PM

Why would anyone in the right mind even think about taking Oak and 7th?! That hill is equivalent to a Cypress slope. I wouldn't drive down that area even WITH snow tires.

We live right on Lougheed and Beta, this morning was hilarious, we probably had about 7 cars crashed on that hill. I'm sure I'll see more other the weekend, people are crazy.

Still snowing lightly in Pt Grey area, 2-3 inches now but hearing rain the next few days so should be fine.

twitchyzero 02-03-2017 05:54 PM

damn at these stories of 2-3 hour commutes. Guess I got lucky, in December East-Van to Coq it may be added an extra 5-10 minutes. East-van to Downtown today on Skytrain, practically no delays.

having an extra snow day or two doesn't automatically mean Translink or CoV allocated more funding for snow removal ResidentSleeper

Hopefully people will get the message to shovel their walkways this time around lol

RiceIntegraRS 02-03-2017 06:15 PM

commute from surrey to van wasnt bad, took an hr when it usually takes 45mins. i feel bad for all the traffic on knight heading south bound. All the semis stuck trying to get up the hill right after 33rd.

tegra7 02-03-2017 07:00 PM

Was stuck behind one moron on a two lane road who seemed like he had never seen snow before, doing 20kph, braking/stopping for no apparent reason with over a block of no traffic in front of him. I passed when i had a chance and he gives me the hand like "wtf are you doing?''. Fucking idiots out there...

jeedee 02-03-2017 07:22 PM

today's commute for me wasn't too bad.

just got home, pulled over to park my car but saw i was a bit far from the curb. Went back inside to readjust it.... car is now stuck and just slid closer to the curb when i gassed it :fuckthatshit:

whitev70r 02-03-2017 07:39 PM

It's pretty crazy out there ... snow is really building and couldn't go up even some small hills in South Van, Marine Dr, Kent area.

JSALES 02-03-2017 07:56 PM

Are the main roads pretty bad? I'm planning on heading out in a bit

depends where you are. Nothing is plowed in the Grandview/Boundary/Kingsway area. If you got winters should be fine though.

I was OK with all seasons MS. Just the inside streets with hills got me stuck
