On a lot of big streets, the left lane is the lane with the least amount of snow due to it being driven in the most. Even the snow plows can't leave both lanes sparkling clean, and when NO plow has gone through the street yet the left lane is the most traveled lane so there are tire tracks you can follow and more of the snow has melted.

Often times there's so much snow still on the right half of the right lane you have no choice but to drive in between the two lanes. There is no right/left lane in this case, but just one lane.
Wtf would you want to drive in the right lane with all the snow?

Of all times to be a patient and forgiving driver, this is it you douchebag.

I do not wish to pay more taxes to clear snow a couple days a year. People can deal with it for a few hours until it melts, or grab a shovel.

Welcome to Lotusland... where people find reasons to complain about anything and everything. :)

i just plow thru the snow in my GLK but yea 1 lane driving during snow = safest way to do it imo

Berz out.

Pretty much any exotic car, and most luxury brands. Hell my C230 coupe has a panel that does exactly that.

+1, my GLK also has underbody panels throughout. and firewall around the whole engine as opposed to between engine and cabin.

LOL, the C-class sucks in the snow unless you have good tires on, especially hills. :(

You don't even have to go that expensive to get "underbody spoilers." My bro's TSX's undercarriage is all covered to reduce drag and my 8 year old Accord has a lot of it covered too. My car is lowered and I have no problems in the snow.

Most hybrids have under body paneling as well, it's a massive drag reduction.

+1, my TL undercarriage is fully covered with panels.

Supposed to rain all day? Yeah right - I see the sun & blue sky right now. So much for washing the snow away...

It was so beautiful last night when I went for a nice drive. Now I wake up to this slushy ugly mess.

Oh well. It was great while it lasted :D

hpw912 01-12-2011 11:12 AM

Just got home from school. Main roads are pretty much cleared. Just slush in the side roads. Lol... I'm plowing thru it with snowtires but because of the deep snow, I kinda bent the front plate
People out there drive safe!
