Not really racist! 11-21-2010 12:01 PM

It was snowing lightly when I pulled out at 4:50.... thank god it stopped

The_AK 11-21-2010 12:11 PM

what a rough winter that was...

BrRsn 11-21-2010 02:40 PM

My neighbours hate me. I thawed out my garden hose and gave my car a wash. The end of my alley is probably gonna turn to ice now LOL. Oh well.

I hope you park your car in a closed garage... with temp going into negative overnight, washing your car was a risky move

MindBomber 11-21-2010 04:33 PM

^Unless he dried it well.

JSALES 11-21-2010 05:28 PM

i decided to wash my car before the snow hit which was like a couple days before haha

StylinRed 11-21-2010 06:33 PM

^^same, well i was lazy and went to the touchless car wash

shell has a new setup where they've got tire scrubbers my winters (didnt wash last year) are nice n clean now ;)

MindBomber 11-21-2010 07:47 PM

^^Shell, shitty gas, great car washes!

kokanee_vtec 11-21-2010 07:48 PM

^ I love shell gas. So when is the next snow fall?

hk20000 11-21-2010 07:53 PM

Rented a 2011 Hyundai Sonata for the day to see what's in the armpit of Canada.....

It's like an armpit. Lots of things happening none of them significant....Like making pennies or having a public market.

But the local music scene is good though, apparently. I guess if you have nothing but a GUITAH with you for 365.25 days a year you can be a good musician too.

spoon.ek9 11-21-2010 08:10 PM

freakin' salt on the roads made my daily all dirty.. good thing i waxed a couple weeks ago.

luckily the streets are mostly dry. black ice shouldn't be much of a problem on main roads.

Really?

I've don't get very good mileage from Shell gas, compared to Chevron or Petro-Can.

Something I always wondered. Do rental cars come with snow tires when there's a lot of snow out?

Well I was in Calgary last week and all the cars had all-season tires. One customer was going ape shit asking the guy working at the Avis desk how he was going to go to Banff in a car with all season tires when it's -15 and snowing.

MindBomber 11-22-2010 12:31 AM

14 day forecast shows the next couple days are below freezing, but after that nothing but tons of rain :(

Really? I noticed better gas mileage using Shell 91oct compaired to Chevron91oct.

BTW Petro-Can gas is watered down crap.

orange7 11-22-2010 12:40 AM

the cold temp decreasedmy my tire pressure by a lot lately..

time to fill them up..

Interesting, my driving habits weren't as routine when I used to go to all different stations, that might have thrown off the results. I'll give Shell another shot next time I fill up.

Thanks for the tip.

No.

Unless you are in Quebec where it is a requirement to have snow tires by law.

Armind 11-22-2010 01:50 AM

Don't you just hate it, when you don't have snow tires on you hope it doesn't snow.

Then when you're prepared, you WANT it to snow lol. :(

jtanner_ 11-22-2010 05:06 AM

Damn though it was colddddd earlier this morning while I was letting my car warm up. I need to invest in some gloves or earmuffs or something haha.

Average low temp for November is +4.8C, we are in the negative right now, it is unusual. However, the lowest recorded temperature was on Nov. 28 1985 at -9.9C. So it is not the end of the world as we know it yet, haha.
