Hiphop is harder to mix. Songs are shorter no long intro's and BPM's are all over the place.

Where can I get it?
I want to start dj'ing..

I would like to know the same thing, I'm trying to save up for a pair of cdj 400 or 800's but they're pretty pricey :S I've been using VDJ for a while, but now I really want to get my hands onto the real thing.

none of them... honestly save up and get one that you like because the resale is crap on dj equipment... and if u do want to buy one of those.. get it used.. again for the above reason. lol.

nabs 02-02-2011 03:56 PM

I have TORQ 2.0 and would still rather use serato.

-EuroRSN- 02-02-2011 10:33 PM

Does anyone here reccommend the VCI-300?
I'm looking to buy because its got the built-in soundcard, and im looking for something mobile, unless anyone has any good alternatives to it.

What do you guys think of the Traktor Kontrol S4? I'm diggin the sample decks and it all seems like a pretty complete package. Would you recommend anything in it's place?

-EuroRSN- 02-04-2011 04:47 PM

apparently the S4 is one of the best money can buy but its costs nearly $1000.00. You do get what you pay for in relation to quality and performance!

-EuroRSN- 02-04-2011 05:22 PM

Heres a very detailed review on the Traktor Kontrol S4

BoostedSquid 02-04-2011 06:25 PM

-EuroRSN- 02-06-2011 02:16 PM

Numark DJ/IO is good for all your basic needs!

Vansterdam 02-07-2011 06:10 AM

if i get the torque xponent would i be forced to use their torque 2.0 software or could i use others?

-EuroRSN- 02-07-2011 11:03 AM

^ you can use most midi controllers with all kinds of DJ software.

Vansterdam 02-07-2011 01:50 PM

what do you guys think of the VCI300?

right now ive narrowed it down to the vci300 or the torque exponents..

OR i can save up and go for some cdjs-400s and djm-800

It's torq xponent.

The VCI is a replica of a 2 turntable and a mixer setup, It's really solid unit the solid software designed more for hiphop DJ's.

The xponent has a lot more bells and whistles and has good software and is a well build unit.

Here is a comparison between the Xponent and th VCI-100

http://www.djtechtools.com/2007/11/2...nt-vs-vci-100/

-EuroRSN- 02-07-2011 04:28 PM

Id get the VCI300 no questions asked!

BoostedSquid 02-08-2011 08:24 PM

Thoughts on the brand Stanton?
