Fuck just watched the episode....fuckkkkkk was insane!

corollagtSr5 06-21-2016 12:59 AM

The giant could have hulked it hitting people with a horse or even a person. If he grabbed someone wearing chain mail it's like bones in a bag, clubbing time lol.

3 things that keep bugging me about the episodes

#1. y u no zig zag ???
#2. You are you're own worst enemy Jon. All the Starks are too emotional and put themselves in a bad situation. Cat, Rob, Ned etc
#3. you couldnt cut down a tree for wun wun to use as a weapon? he's your best asset FFS. it killed me watching him bat away at those tiny sticks

blkgsr 06-21-2016 06:55 AM

ya honestly the worst part was the poor use of giant guy....but the mountains of dead dude was crazy

but the best part was by far the absolute rampaging stampedes of horses and horse bumper cars, that was AWESOME

straight up horses t-boning other horses

gilly 06-21-2016 07:20 AM

How they filmed the battle of winterfell scene.

m3thods 06-21-2016 07:25 AM

^Absolutely incredible to see that. Making the effort for practical effects (not CGI) really makes the episode that much better.

I don't normally feel obliged to link reviews, but seeing this after had me LOLing nice and early in the morning. Brought me back to Lethal Weapon 1 last fight scene, and shit the edited was seamless haha

and longclaw, jon's valyrian sword, which i also forgot was gifted to him by Jeor Mormont:

so as the article posted above concludes... house mormont has been supporting and protecting jon snow all this time.

Season finale promo. Shit's going down.

Also, Littlefinger creeping on Sansa, as usual. :heckno:

Hondaracer 06-21-2016 08:00 AM

feels like littlefinger deserves a little Sansa after he saved their asses lol

kinda pissed me off seeing Sansa all content with littlefingers army showing up at the very last minute to save the day lol

Armind 06-21-2016 08:31 AM

Dafuq, it's already season finale? :okay:

also another thing i wanted to ask you all... someone posted this in the comments section in the article above:

Quote:

When you think about the Mormonts are protecting Daenerys Targaryen too, since Ser Jorah has saved her life several times. Hmmmm...
is ser jorah is acting on his own in supporting dany because of his disgraced exile from the house mormont... or is that just a cover, and he is acting on the house mormont's behalf?

Ferra 06-21-2016 08:44 AM

definitely my favorite episode this season. (tbh, i felt season 6 has been really shitty and boring overall until the last episode)

the jon snow scene reminds me so much of this poster

To think word of his life hasn't reached back to House Mormont would be pretty unbelievable. Someone has to have talked about Jora being at Kaleesi's side so perhaps House Mormont is more in the game than we suspect?

Berz out.

Awesome episode, it's only fail was not giving Wun Wun a club to baseball swing their entire army back over the walls of winterfell.

jlo mein 06-21-2016 10:57 AM

Do you guys think we'll get an explanation for why Littlefinger and the Knights of the Vale decided to showed up? Last we left him, Littlefinger got reamed out by Sansa and Brienne in that private meeting, where Sansa said she doesn't need his help.

dachinesedude 06-21-2016 11:58 AM

im sure he'll want something in return, we'll see in ep 10

ive never seen such a scene for a tv show before, the moment when the horses of the 2 sides collided, too good

Quite simple actually. Littlefinger wants some Sansa. He never does anything out of charity. There's always a motive.

He was in love with Lady Cat. Sansa is said to look like a carbon copy of young Cat. He wants to tap that ass.

Lewdness aside, there seems to be a bit of ambiguity with LF and Sansa. People suggest he's taking care of her genuinely out of love for Cat. But knowing (and seeing) LF operate makes you think that he has much more selfish motives.

Personally I think he wants Sansa to be his queen/pawn/toy. There are two things he wanted in life- Cat and the power that the Iron Throne provides. Sansa is the closest thing to getting number 1. If the Starks are all to survive and "the good guys win", I suspect that Sansa will have a direct hand in LF's downfall/death.

GLOW 06-21-2016 12:20 PM

i was thinking he needed bolton out to control the north and wanted winterfell. by staying out of the battle until the end both strong armies are eliminated and the only army of size in the north besides the vale is the frey army

he might to tap that sansa but i think he'll continue to use her presence to manipulate her cousin who "controls" the knights of the vale

Armind 06-21-2016 12:22 PM

My colleague was ranting on and on how unrealistic and "hollywood" about the episode. I don't blame him though 3 to 1 ratio, Sansa not letting Snow know she got LF's help coming, Wun Wun with no armor and couldn't used to throw huge shit at the enemy etc... lol pretty entertaining to hear it from his side.

I already touched base with the Sansa not letting Jon snow know about the Vale coming to help. And these guys are also wildings. Where are they going to find armor for them, let alone a massive piece for a giant.

Ronin 06-21-2016 04:48 PM

Yeah what the fuck, Wun Wun. You brought a nothing to a knife fight. There's trees all over...just grab a couple...

He got reamed out by Sansa before Jon started recruiting. In episode 7, after they fail to get enough support, Sansa writes a letter. We don't see who it's to, but we can only draw our own conclusion that it was to Little Finger.
