I think i just saw the tow truck drive past on marine drive Posted via RS Mobile |
i have dealt with this guy a few times as well. he seems like an honest guy and just works hard to make a living. i bet that when everything turns out you will find that he isnt the mastermind behind this all. |
any update? |
its been more than 22 days now, I have to settle with ICBC for my payout. Since the police couldnt recover the vehicle. |
Damn that sucks to hear... Any plans on the next car if it remains missing? Posted via RS Mobile |
you gona make the same build again? |
damn that sucks to hear :( |
What's the payout? |
lol what a joke, cops cant track it down after buddy obviously knows where he towed it to, who he towed it for, etc.? |
what's your next car? |
I probably won't get paid out for a week or two, but I'm not concerned about the money right away, I have four other cars to drive. I might invest the money rather then put it into another money pit. Posted via RS Mobile |

So what happens if the car does get recovered say 5 months to 5 years from now? |
If the car is found locally, months or years later I believe ICBC will theft recovery auction it to dealers depending on the condition or pieces it's recovered in. And since I have gotten paid out a long time ago, I no longer own it, and I probably never hear of it again unless an icbc parts dealer spots it and let's me know. I'm not sure the procedure, I've never dealt with a vehicle theft that wasn't recovered. Posted via RS Mobile |
sorry to hear..hope the payout is fair. |
Days away from a Payout. All I can say until then, reciepts are KEY. |

:/ that sucks hopefully you don't get too screwed |
the tow guy might've actually towed it for somebody, but doesn't want to "rat" him out knowing there's not enough evidence to convict himself or the guy that called him to do the job. all i can say is dont trust your surroundings. your friends, of all people, probably know where you keep your car, what kind of security devices are on it, what time you sleep, when and where you're at. im not pointing any fingers, but as a hypothetical example, i was on GTRCanada before and noticed some complaints about transactions made between C-unit and some other members. with all relationship stigmas aside, if a person ripped someone off once, compared to a total stranger, how much more likely is that person going to rip someone else off again? |
