Hmmmmmmm I will look into this further. It wouldn't make sense for them to use two different patches for gamers and retail. I know for sure the SCF patches were the same for both. The only difference was the ones sold loose came with packaging and the ones that the team used right away for their own jerseys/customer jerseys just came bundled together by an elastic band. |
i knew what i saw was right LOL!!! From my understand the preimier jerseys sold at the team store start of the season used the softer patch which players worn on ice. Later on in the season national emblem took over and made the other version where vancity sports sells them. I compared the national emblem one (wax back) and softer orginal patch the national emblem looks better and stands out more. So in conclusion i think there are version A and B. Have we solved the 40th anniversary patch mystery? :megusta: I checked out my buddies jersey who bought it start of the season last yr patch was like this...it was soft without the smooth wax in the back A http://akamai.edeal.com/images/catal...mg10193435.jpg B http://members.shaw.ca/baybeejay/40th.jpg |
Thanks Mickz, you're a great resource to this thread. It'd be great to hear the full official story. I've learned a lot about jersies here. I hope I never become as fickle and detail oriented with jersies as you, lol. |

I think it's the same process as a sample sale. When I bought a jacket, they demanded to keep my tag for some reason. Posted via RS Mobile |
thats not mine, im planning to keep it and get the patch stitched on |
looking to get a canucks third jersey some time soon, would ordering from rocky mountain sports off ebay be my best option or somewhere local in person? |
^ I ordered off them. Super fast shipping and the cheaper than what you can find locally for at like $20-$50. They don't seem to have the third jersey though? Just te new one with the orca and vancouver Posted via RS Mobile |

I ordered a medium 40th jersey from that Ebay seller for a buddy but he changed his mind. It's still sealed in its original baggie Anybody want it, selling at cost $90 ($69.99, $20 shipping). Ebay only has L and XL left |
I bought a couple from that eBay seller too. I thought I would fit M, but the sleeve almost covers my entire hand. :( Selling both a Medium and a Large in the home blue jersey for $90 if anyone is interested. They have the new Reebok lettering, not the Vector logo. |
Hey UFO and InvisibleSoul! Have pics of the jerseys for sale? Or maybe sale threads I could check out? |
