might be a noob question
but considering after breaking the windows of and/or flipping over cars, most of them got torched. How is the insurance for the owners going to work? I'm thinking the VIN's and everything will for the most part be unreadable... are the owners fucked?
ya for real it seemed planned. i live near the cbc building and i saw many people wearing ski masks carrying bats. saw a dude in a ski mask and a canucks jersey. who brings these things to watch a game?

The Vin's are stamped on the fire wall. They can be easily read off a burnt vehicle.

although a trashed and burnt vehicle might not be immediately recognizable to its owner, the VIN in multiple places on a vehicle in addition to the two license plates and the engine's serial number. plus many other identifiers. owners will be fine.
TV said that the owner of the flipped truck purposely brought down his crappy pickup to trash/burn if the Canucks lost. idiot. this guy ICBC might bend over.

molotov cocktails were thrown. definitely pre-meditation there.
Not all fans are innocent. Seeing them throw shit at Gary Bettman was sick as well. Yes, even Gary Bettman doesn't deserve to have shit thrown at him as he presents the fucking Stanley Cup
Here it could wave been the Black Bloc going some of this. The same people who smashed the bay windows during the Olympics.
This is exactly what I'm thinking. Who knows?
I know for sure having been at Toronto for the G20 last year, that their riot was TAME. IT was just more of an organized march, this was absolute chaos that ebbed and flowed.
