....Why would the agent till his other clients about Hodgson's business?

Isn't that why players have an agent? To keep things private, not have a gossip girl marathon.

Maybe hodgson asked to be traded like 2 years ago. Im pretty sure people got this idea now fro
A story thatvwas made b4 last years season where cody didnt make the team

The story in which CoHo wanted out was a rumor
this was two off seasons ago

he said he will do what it takes to crack the team this year, and he did it
he did it to stay and be an integral part of our system

Greenstoner 02-28-2012 01:03 PM

both swedish sammi wearing #26 :D

mikael samuelsson & samuel pahlsson

jeedee 02-28-2012 01:05 PM

I find it odd that the new guys picked "old" guys numbers..

#5 Ehrhoff -> Gragnani
#9 Hodgson -> Kassian
#26 Samuelsson -> Pahlsson

Coincidence? I think not :lol

Kassian's old number is #9 in world junior.

This is not NHL related but I was going thru some sports video of the week thought this was pretty funny

"As he started to score more as the season went on, Hodgson’s ice time became a hot topic in the media, but he said it wasn’t a big deal to him."

And yet, going to Buffalo is a HUGE opportunity for him - with the level of talent on the Canucks, he'd be years (or another major trade) away from playing the second line on a regular basis. In Buffalo, he's a bona fide second-liner with probably a good number of shifts on the top line. It's potentially a massive boost to his career, and I say, good for him.

Not really racist! 02-28-2012 03:15 PM

At least hes in the East

If you look at the minutes of the Top 6 Buffalo forwards, they play almost the same amount (~19:00 to ~16:00 for each of the 6 forwards). Cody is easily going to see >15:00 if he is moved into a 2nd line role.

I am happy to see him get an opportunity to play more. Buffalo is now higher up on teams to cheer for.

pure.life 02-28-2012 04:12 PM

Farewell Cody :(

as per team 1040 yesterday, it was cody's family (mainly dad) that pushed for the trade. they thought he had no future here,with kesler and henrik up front, and also they wanted him closer to home.

his dad has been the biggest influence in his entire hockey life/career, but i think hodgson is probably not very happy with him right now.

dbaz 02-28-2012 04:39 PM

^ called it. just shows how much parents can piss off an organization

Mike Oxbig 02-28-2012 04:39 PM

Probably push for the trade now so he still have the chance to get the Calder. What about the stanley CUP!!!!

kwy 02-28-2012 04:42 PM

Kassian debuting on the 4th line with Lappy and Manny tonight. Game starts in 20, this is gonna be interesting.

well, they way they explained it was that even though canucks are favorite, when it comes down to the finals there's still a 50/50 chance we wont win the cup.

at least in buffalo, he'll be given every opportunity and ice time to be used to his full potential.

dbaz 02-28-2012 04:46 PM

his dad is like i posted yesterday his dad forced the ohl to tell teams at the bantam draft he would only play in towns close to his hometown. he also forced his son to fire his first agent because he couldnt get his 2cents in

UFO 02-28-2012 04:48 PM

Coho, classy kid with a good head screwed to his shoulders. Good to see him get an honest chance. Hope he takes it and runs with it.

Hondaracer 02-28-2012 04:52 PM

No one ever came out and confirmed shit on 1040 yesterday.. it's all just rumors still, all the stuff about his parents wanting him closer to home was all brought up by callers..
