Anyone know where I can buy casual type boots that are kind of dressy; wear them with jeans and a shirt/jacket/blazer type of thing? Here's the catch though, looking for size 14s. Not trying to buy online because when it comes to these types, the larger sizes really go on how they feel when you try them on. Looking for a place anywhere from Vancouver to surrey or as far as langely. I've been told that stores usually can order bigger sizes as well? |
some ideas: RW Beckman http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tc2OkhJhc-...-3688_zoom.jpg Goes up to 13 on the RW website. Who knows, it may run large. There is an RW store in Burnaby and Gravity Pope also stocks RW AE Dalton http://www.allenedmonds.com/wcsstore...n_walnut_l.jpg Goes up to 15, Harry Rosen stocks AE, models vary by store. |
what do you guys suggest for insoles? i just saw one of my customers wearing a geox one today and figured that would be comfy |

I'm a size 14; I know how difficult it can be to find a boot that 'feels' right, not to mention the frustrating lack of availability of styles in our size. I have a pair of Iron Rangers in style 8111; they don't feel awkwardly long, quite comfortable, good quality and value. The 8126 is basically the same boot, but with broque detailing that elevate the dressiness a touch. There's a Red Wings store in Burnaby, and another in Langley. I bought mine in Langley. |
glad i got those winter premiums at the site i linked above. all colors and sizes sold out already.. |
Someone recommend me some white/mostly white high tops in the same vein as these Margielas in case I don't win that auction. My grail piece is this KVA shoe from ss 2010: http://cdnd.lystit.com/photos/2011/1...arge_flex.jpeg EDIT: didn't win :( . Gonna go downtown/gastown now to drown my sorrow in retail therapy. |

Will most likely be picking up a pair of H&M x MMM black side-zips to match with my ToJ MDR! http://cdn.styleforum.net/d/d0/900x9..._DSC_0292.jpeg |

I've always wanted a pair of these Cesario Lo's Creative Recreations. Might cop a pair sometime soon. http://i.imgur.com/FSRpo.jpg |

however, they are not for people with a high instep, i bought them originally for my redwing 877, they KILLED my feet in them because my foot sat too high in the boot so my heel rubbed on the back of the boot, so no good for myt 877 because of the style of boot I then put them into my work boots, Dunlop purofort rubber steeltoe, these then pushed my foot up too high in the boot and consequently my foot was "pinched" at the arch because it sat too high, so they were a no go as well Lol my reviews sound pretty bad, but they are very good insoles and they have a 90 day guarantee, bring them back full refund no questions Currently I'm using "Sof Sole" arch support from Mark's, they are $25, low profile, and very comfortable |
