I have tried sending invites/share with those who have pm'd. Registrations seems to have closed for the time being. If you were invited, you will get the email as soon as Google opens up registration (whenever that is) *hopefully soon
I think this is the first major competition for Facebook. Google+ (G+) is very simple to use and it has great features to back up the simplicity of the platform. Photos are in high resolution with Picasa features and the new circle of friends feature is a new way of categorizing "friends". You can even customize your circles. I.E. RS Friends!

The hangout feature is a great step forward. You can chill whenever and wherever with (webcam) hangout. You can even join.

Interesting to see how Facebook will react to this. I hear they have a new design coming soon.

I doubt it. People have too much invested in Facebook to simply drop it and start over somewhere else.

What this could do is make Facebook take a hard look at how they're doing things and make changes to improve their product.

I got the email, but when I clicked the link the url didnt work. And when I went to the G+ page to sign in it said registrations were close even if you were invited, lol.

Can't wait to see what Facebook is going to do next. If Google can integrate this into Android properly they got themselves a winner.
