9th gen white accord coupe with HFP kit. Owner on here?

Akinari 04-11-2015 11:26 AM

So apparently block party was pretty lame this year. Didn't even go, music lineup was far too indie for me.

Mining 04-11-2015 11:54 AM

Never planned to go since it always fucking pours, however this year wasn't too bad. Why can't it always be sunshine and rainbows.

The investment opportunities for block party are always through the roof though lol.

GEOG281, massive joke of a class. Take home midterm and final (aka two papers for the whole term).

UPDATE: So I got 70% in GEOG281 for only going to 3 lectures and 2 discussions for the whole term. Y'all decide if it's a GPA booster or not :lawl:

I don't get why you guys go to UBC. SFU is way better if you could possibly go there.

dragondragon99 05-05-2015 11:55 AM

I had a $3,500 bursary from SFU, however it's quite far for me so I realized that I'd be spending all that money on a parking pass each semester... with UBC I was able to hop on the B-Line as the stop is a block from my house. Saving time and money. Looking back, I wish I went to SFU. The bureaucracy at UBC is unreal, many professors seem very disinterested/incapable of teaching a class, the majority of people seem very "clique-y", and there are way too many international students... but I'm 9 courses away from finishing so I'm just going to sweat it out. Just my $0.02.

Not sure if srs post but I go there due to the program that it offers while SFU does not.

By the way, fix your signature, SFU student =P

UBC is just more convenient, the campus is beautiful and it is more well known. Good enough for me.

theevilslave 05-06-2015 06:10 PM

Neoxphuse is just salty that UBC didn't accept him. :)

I'm not sure if you're being serious, but if you are, you're one ignorant moron.

I never look down on people in SFU, because quite frankly, I respect SFU. Hell, I got accepted in both SFU and UBC and I had to make a tough decision on which university to attend.

Ultimately, I ended up choosing and graduating from UBC. The decision was mostly due to the location, the fact that my parents preferred UBC, I had a lot more friends who would attend UBC as well, and most importantly: its overall world rankings.

UBC is UNIVERSALLY recognized as within the top 50 best universities in the world, overall. Multiple lists even have it currently (and previously) ranked it in the top 30s.

Like I said, I do respect SFU. However, there's no denying that SFU is always going to be second to UBC in B.C., and would universally rank significantly lower in all respectable university ranking lists (as a whole).

That being said, Neoxphuse should enroll in some STFU classes instead.
