Friend took it before.. wasn't hard but if you fail the final, you fail the course and there is a lot of information covered on the final.

I have finance in 1 hour though with her lol

JayEch 01-09-2013 11:59 AM

Looking for some advice, this is a cross-post to UBC and SFU, sorry in advance.

I'm going to graduate next January from SFU with a joint Poli-Sci/Econ degree, my GPA is 3.4 right now, I'm hoping to get it up to 3.7 to 4.0 after the fall and if I'm very lucky I'm going to get all my classes I reg for and finish.

My options are sort of, do a Second Degree, or go for an MBA. and I'm waffling on what to do, I've heard good and bad things from friends (all out East, McGill, Western, York), on getting a second degree, or if it'd better to just go higher up. But I really don't know anyone at either U who's done it, or knows anyone who has here in BC.

what I'm most interested is in at SFU, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation b.comm and at UBC, the Real Estate & E-Commerce b.comm as second degree's..

For the MBA, I was thinking the Executive MBA or Management Tech at SFU or the
the Executive MBA at UBC, any thoughts? thanks in advance!

What are your goals? Regardless, a second undergrad doesn't seem like a good idea.

The EMBA at UBC is what I would do given those options.

The_Situation 01-09-2013 11:19 PM

Anyone know the deadline to apply to transfer faculties?

Don't you need like 6 years of work exp. before you can apply to EMBA? I might be wrong but I thought that was it.

Energy 01-10-2013 02:44 PM

That's for a regular MBA. The EMBA is made specifically for those with no work experience.

got an email » Deadline to Transfer Faculties

"If you're thinking about transferring from the BCom program to another program at UBC, the deadline to apply for a change of program or a change of campus for the 2013/14 Winter Session is January 31, 2013."

BUT other faculties should be the same

The deadline to drop a course with a full refund is within the first 2 weeks of class. So would tmr be considered the 3rd week

Would assume that this week is the 3rd week; may be contestable since courses running MWF did not have a full first week :s

Winter Session refunds - Courses & Registration
