Santofu 07-21-2012 11:23 PM

Haha yeah that's him...
Eh.. To be honest I got bored of it, and I had summer school in really early morning. couldn't catch up after school with lack of sleep (it felt like a sauna in my room)
How much are you getting paid per hour?

i'm in the same position lmao, i'm taking a completion course this summer from 8am-11:30am and i thought i could handle everything, but ended up getting 2-3 hrs of sleep per day during the first week of school so i told chantal & she restricted my shifts to only fridays&saturdays until i finish school. then back to fuckin regular school in september :banghead:
at the moment, minumum wage + a pool tip avg of about 2 to 3 dollars (depending on our sales), makes out to about 12-13/hr

Santofu 07-21-2012 11:38 PM

I think she will be okay if you work on sat and sunday morning when you go back to school in sept... I was like that for 2 years, no big deals...
My summer school started from 7am to 2pm... then went over to work after... I was totally beaten for a week like this. Ridiculous it was like torture -_-
Oh btw, is Jesse and that tall African guy still working there?

pinn3r 07-21-2012 11:44 PM

i know that feel hahah, everything feels like a dream 'cause you get so deprived of sleep
i've never seen an African guy before so i'm assuming he's gone, but i think Jesse still works here 'cause his name's on the employee list. i've never met him though so i don't know what he looks like lol

Santofu 07-21-2012 11:46 PM

haha yeah that's true...
They both works at night. I used to see them before I finish my shift...
Ah you'll meet them eventually haha... I'm assuming you work in the morning?

pinn3r 07-21-2012 11:58 PM

yeee eventually lol, and nope i don't think there's a morning hobart, only a "receiver" or somethin
but it'd be great to work in the morning for once :ahwow:

Santofu 07-22-2012 12:01 AM

Ahh receiver... same thing as "kitchen helper"
Trust me, there is a morning hobart lol... on the weekends the kitchen always have a morning hobart and receiver..
on the weekdays, there is only one person doing both i guess... unless summer, they add another person to help out.

pinn3r 07-22-2012 12:09 AM

ohh shiet haha 'cause every time i arrive at work, it's just stacks on stacks of stuff, literally makes me go like
prolly a fuckin lazy morning hobart
i take 5-hour energy shots just so i can clear everything out without feeling like shit afterwards

BossFrancis 07-22-2012 08:06 AM

LOL shiet, I was sushi chef for 3 days and the hardest thing I had to do was cook the rice and I wanted to kill myself. Working sucks balls :okay:

:okay:

BaoTurbo 07-27-2012 05:30 PM

When they say clean, let's say I got into a car accident under $1000 or car accidents in general but no tickets, does that define clean?

XplicitLuder 07-28-2012 08:28 PM

all depends lol ive applied to many jobs that require "clean" driving record and gotten interviews from a few and my record aint clean lol well before was just 2 tickets for driving against restrictions, but applied for one which i got an interview this past week and i had my 2 tix + an at-fault accident.

Razor Ramon HG 08-13-2012 10:14 PM

Anyone got any hookups for my younger bro?

He's turning 19 soon, but hasn't been able to get a job because he has no experience. Something very entry level..

BigTrollFace 08-14-2012 12:25 AM

Milestones was retarded, I got hired on as a cook because of my experience. Did prep and brunch cook some night shifts.

During a night shift we started talking about wages, which we shouldn't have been lol, well I blurted out that I got hired at $15 and everyone was shocked. I found out I was one of the highest paid. One of the guys who worked there for 4-5 years or something said he was getting paid the same lol. He asked for a raise and didn't get it.

I felt bad for the guy and told him to fucking apply at the keg. Now hes working there and getting paid way more lol and easier work.

Well I quit because the company licked balls, mainly the managing staff. Worked me like a horse just because I could do it. For example during brunch shifts they would purposely short staff so I had to work 2 stations at the same time while the GM stands in the front and yells at me for being 2 minutes over.

Long story short, go find a better job than milestones lol

Hey, sorry for bumping the thread, but I have an upcoming interview to Sportchek, and was wondering the types of questions that would be asked in the interview. I know the usual will be asked(ie, strengths/weaknesses, etc..). TIA!

XplicitLuder 09-08-2012 08:37 PM

probably something like how would you deal with a displeased customer or have you had to deal with any before.
