http://www.speedtest.net/result/1537513272.png Honestly, more than anything it feels like I'm losing packets or something because even at 10mbit websites should load super fast. Bullshit! |

My internet just now on Shaw Extreme: http://speedtest.net/result/1537538639.png This is probably their plan to get people to switch to their broadband... I know I'm waiting to be switched to their broadband 50. Luckily it's cheaper for the first 6 months. |
Good to go ehre.................. |
So when you guys call in do you actually get through? Or are waits just too ridiculous so you hang up? I'm curious as to why the internet speeds are so epically shitty right now |

http://www.speedtest.net/result/1543043070.png :fulloffuck: :seriously: Shaw thinks they can get away with this shit cause they have a steady customer base. What we need to do is to have everybody on RS that has Shaw to cancel, and switch to Telus. What ya gonna do now shaw? :troll: |
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1543048360.png Telus in Richmond on 15mb. Pretty Fair |
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1543073542.png a bit better than a couple of days ago... it seems like right when peak hour hits internet just goes to shit |

That's slower than my telus optik, and my telus optik is the slowest possible optik they offer! Something like 14mbps/.86mbps! Incidentally, I switched a year ago because I end up saving $10/mo and get more HD channels with Telus, than I had with Shaw. My internet speed is the same, as I was getting 15mbps/1mbps with Shaw, at BEST (more consistently around 6-7mpbs/1mbps with Shaw) so it was a bit of a no-brainer. Shaw wasn't willing to match or attempt to do anything for me, as an existing customer who had been with them for over 5+ years. It wasn't until the day I called to cancel my services that they offered to match. Go figure. Unfortunately, all the major telecom companies are pretty well the same in terms of customer retention. Not willing to extend offers to existing customers as much as they are to new customers. And only willing to try to do something to keep you from cancelling. |
