Most of the ones being interviewed/shown on TV are white dreadlock-wearing hippies in their early/mid 20's that will find anything to bitch, and the odd guy that looks like he got his ass kicked in high school.
And they're out of the Robson Square area, the fuckers went home, and/or moved the Grandview Park. Good luck East Van.

Just saw report on evening news. One of the organizers (term used loosley here) says, "Yeah, we're moving to a location that might be more sympathetic to our cause." LOL. They were met with angry people from the neighbourhood. One of them said, "This is a park for kids. Are you a kid?" I LOL'd. Most of them are like kids. I was hoping to see a good ol' East Van rumble, but nope, the yahoos left for home - shelters and whatnot.
They were better off downtown. Like WTF? Did they think they could take over a park in Little Italy? Organizers are a bunch of doh heads. What neighbourhood is going to stand by and see tents being set up? Especially when it is so poorly organized. Party's over, people, move on! You had your moment in the lime light, now get the fuck off the stage!
According to the 11pm news, city managers showed up with general public who were disgusted with the OV people camping at Grandview Park. After a few hours, all the OV people left.
For those that didn't know, over $2M was spent in the past few years to fix/upgrade this east van park.

That would just put a smile on my face to see these assholes heckled by parents with kids that want to play at a park without having to step over unwashed hipsters sleeping on the jungle gym at 3pm.

I like on the news how Christy Clarke said she was fed up with this and will get lawyers to work to have them removed.
That is more action then Robertson did they whole time they were at the art gallery.
Just announced that #OccupyVancouver will stop the 24-hour camping and instead meet at the VAG for general assembly. They're also talking about moving to doing community outreach and helping the homeless.
Maybe they'll actually do something now but then again, apparently there were only ~50 people at the last GA. Posted via RS Mobile
They can't. They need to be fed and given money by the rich, because in their minds they have the right to take other people's had earned money without doing any work.
Plus they need to smoke up and get high all the time too, which leaves them with no time to get jobs or contribute to society.
