I've been jumped 8v1.
Swelling and bruised ribs, face got all messed up.
Lacerations, had to get stitches.
Punks came at me, looking for a fight. Cut me off, surrounded me and somebody from behind hit me with a bottle. With the first punch to my face, my glasses flew off and got destroyed, couldn't see anything.
In a situation like that, you don't have a chance.
I feel for the guy, but if the backstory was that he was involved in something first, then he just lucked out the this got filmed and posted.
Maybe he'll get some justice. But I sure as hell didn't.

Wow... so I just watched BOTH her long ass videos... and I gotta say what a camwhore....
I know she wanted to set the story straight and what not... but c'mon, it could have easily been done in 30 sec - 1 min... maybe 2 tops if she really wanted to go into detail... but half the damn video is her staring blankly at the screen saying "umm" and repeating some things over and over...
Like someone earlier said... it was a bitch trying to understand and put the story together between all the "umms" and stuff...
man without some solid proof about the backstory, its hard for me to believe some random chick saying shit...

My blood was boiling when I watched the kid get jumped by 7 dudes. How disgusting.. But if the back story is true..
Now it suddenly becomes a matter of who started it first.
Its a matter of reciprocation, and people getting what's coming to them.
If the back story is true, it changes everything.
Imagine the guy getting beat, raped and murdered someone, would you feel bad for him while watching the video?
Now imagine that person was a child;
a relative of yours;
your daughter.
See where I am going? Interesting how the emotions change.
We base everything we feel on the stories of the people involved. What was initially an awkward ESL student just trying to fit in, getting his face smashed around, turns out to be a wannabe thug who ended up on enemy turf solo, and got a taste of his own medicine (STRONG PERHAPS).
I will not pass judgement until the truth comes out, but I am keeping the emotions in check until it does.
Is it 'cowardly' to run when 7 people are beating the living shit out of you? Is it better to stay and "take it like a champ" so you have a story to tell on the internets later? And don't tell me he was cornered and couldn't get away. Least he could do is try, and come back to fight another day.
He did try... More than once. Have you been hit in the head then immediately tried running away the moment you get up? It's pretty fucking hard. Chances are he probably suffered some sort of a concussion from all those hits to the dome.
