I'm not sure if it's 100% adventure-oriented, but Hyouka centers around a group of high school students trying to solve a mystery they found in a book in their literature club. First episode was pretty decent, and I'll probably pickup on it when I have more free time.

If you like mecha watch some of the Gundam series. My personal favorites are Gundam Wing, Seed, and 00.

I believe samurai x is 3 OVA for a total of 6 eps. The first two are Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal (2eps each=4 total) which shows hope kenshin became the way he is and the story behind his legendary scar! And there is Rurouni Kenshin: Reflections (2 eps) which shows the life of Kenshin after the anime and winds down the story.

These ova's are a huge change in pace from the anime, much more violent, bloody, gory and serious.

Anyone going to the Anime Convention on Aug 18th?

I don't really watch Anime but I've always wanted to go to a comic-con thing in LA and this seems like the closest I'll get to in Vancouver.

I'm going, but it's going to be pretty small imo. It should be a lot better next year.
Your best bet for a convention nearby in Sakuracon in Seattle, I say it's totally worth going to since it has legit bands, voice actors, directors, artists, etc. from Japan. And tickets are pretty cheap compared to our smaller local ones.

I was wondering.... anyone know where I can source Prince of Tennis in Cantonese?

It's really hard for me to source it... I don't mind paying as well.

Thanks.

Forgot about this after episode 2. Took way too long for new episodes to come out. Looks like I'll jump back on this.

Apparently another good shonen style anime is Fairy Tale. I think I've outgrown that kind of anime though haha.

Yup, I find the progression of the story to be too slow though.. It's pretty gory too haha and it has a good plot. I guess if you like this you might like Sword Art Online. The first season of SAO is really good then it dips. Well looks like I probably won't catch up to the most recent ep next week, finals..

Attack on Titan. Mindfuck, very nice suspense and hella action with gore. You will be very entertained every single episode.

Devil Survivor 2 The Animation - Persona 4 meets Evangelion. Action, nice premise and it's nice to see the Evangelion-ish symbolism.

Majestic Prince - Action. Mecha. Sci-fi.

Initial D Fifth Stage - We're on RS. Come on!

I've watched quite a bit of anime through my time.. lol

My top picks that I remember would probably be

1) Code Geass: Hangyaku No Lelouch
Watch Code Geass Hangyaku No Lelouch Episodes Online | AnimeSeason.com
- Story line is beyond amazing & complex. One of the best endings for a series i've ever seen.

2) Btooom
Watch Btooom Episodes Online | AnimeSeason.com
- Sooo much potential!! The series is pretty good but they are really slow on releases..

3) Sword Art Online
Watch Sword Art Online Episodes Online | AnimeSeason.com
- Solid, one of the more recent animes...

4)Gundam Seed
- The best series out of all the gundam animes. Cant go wrong here.

5)Full Metal Panic
- Rom-Com-Mecha anime.. if your into that this is a solid anime. You'll like this one for sure!

6) Itazura Na Kiss
Watch Itazura Na Kiss Episodes Online | AnimeSeason.com
- Something sappy if your into the rom-coms. Solid pick.

Side note--
If anyone wants a solid manga
Noblesse: By far one of the best manga's I am currently reading.. I wouldn't be suprised if they make it into an anime later on..
