SO which one is yours in that pic? I like #2 with the chubby face :)

We've looked at pet insurance; everyone I know who has it swears by it, and every vet I've been to recommends it - I'm sure they've seen their share of distraught pet owners bring their animals in for emergency care and not been able to pay for it. I've seen a lot of recommendations for Trupanion.

Problem for us is, most of them START at $30/mo. *per pet* and go up quickly from there, depending on the level of what they'll cover... and we have four little guys.

GAK... I just did the "estimate" thing on Trupanion and this is what it came up with for BASE coverage (Groucho is 4, Daisy and Dusty are 3, Taffy is 12):

:ohgodwhy:

At least the first three get a dollar or so discount for being therapy dogs :fuckthatshit:

I pay 37 a month. Its going to add up over time, but its nice having piece of mind. I'd remortgage my fucking house if I had to for Monty, and its nice knowing that I won't need to if something expensive happens. A good friend of mine had to shell out 10k for double knee surgery for his one year old german shepard. I use trupanion like soundy pointed out, and I just received an email yesterday saying thee were changes to my policy. They added hip dysplasia coverage to their original package for no charge, and a couple other odds and ends like vet recommended training classes and such.

incubus 04-25-2013 07:33 AM

he comes wit 6 weeks trupanion, I think I should get it just one dog, for now haha.

are shots covered?

I'm not sure which one is mine because I got bumped up the waiting list either way all the pups are cute

Looking at the full policy info, doesn't look like vaccinations are covered. They're relatively cheap, though, and really, you don't have to do most of them all that often.

westopher 04-25-2013 08:09 AM

True. I have a 400 dollar deductible for that price that I pay so even if they were covered, it wouldn't be worth it. It's really only for worst case scenarios like surgery and more serious treatments. Also they offer a reward if your dog is lost which is fairly substantial I think.

Not my pet, but she followed my wife home from the store. Luckily she was tagged, and we were able to return her home. Was happy to have her around for a few days though! Super nice dog, except she took over my cat's bed :lawl:

Thanks! Yes he is a purebred Dogo. I got him from Stonhom's Dogos https://www.facebook.com/groups/456872097660061/

That dogo is so handsome. One of monty's best friends when we brought him home was a dogo that lived in our apartment. He is such a great dog, unfortunately his owners moved away. Monty is still getting more polite by the week. Still a crazy puppy, but much different than the 8 month old that didn't know what "sit" meant when we got him last summer.

are your fingers literally turning blue or is it just dirty from something else? cuz if it is blue, that is one strong snake for that size. sorry, total noob here on snakes if that sounds like a dumb question.
