LTE is 4G.
the stupid "4G" logo on sgs3s actually means hspa+, which is somewhat like a 3G+. Not true 4G. i rather it showed "H+" like it does on my old sgs2.

If you are getting 25+Mbps down then you are probably on LTE. If you are getting 5-8Mbps then you are probably just 4G aka HSPA+

Does anyone anyone have any idea how bluetooth tethering works? I've paired my phone to my nexus 7 and checked off Internet access but my tab says I have no Internet.

why bluetooth tether and not wifi tether?
i wifi tether to my other devices all the time with no issues whatsoever.

After properly connecting your bluetooth devices, you have to go on your phone and check off bluetooth tethering in more setting > Tethering and portable hotspot. Then go to your tablet then check "use for internet access". Itll say something like "connecting".
The instruction i provided assume you are using an android. I do this with my asus tranformer.
Ps: bluetooth tethering uses less battery (apparently

Rogers version s3 = LTE will display LTE, 4G will be 4G, 3G will be 3G.
Bell version s3 = 4G is LTE, H+ is 4G/HSPDA, 3G is 3G

What case do you guys have ? otterbox is too bulky. Are there any simple yet stylish cases that doesnt add bulk? I find the samsung OEM flip case not good at protection.

On Telus 4G does not equal LTE because I turn off my LTE radio to save battery power yet I still get the 4G display.

It's flimsy too.
I like the 0.6mm one better because it doesn't add bulk to the phone. It snaps on all 4 corners and the sides, top and bottom doesn't have protection but it's not like you'll damage the top that easily. Only probably is, they don't have black.

I flashed back to the original rogers version found on sammobile.com and it was reading LTE as LTE and 4g as HSPDA, but it never goes to 3g.
Then i did some speed test and the original rogers version 4g speed was ranging from 3mbps - 5mbps. While the bell version H+ is constantly 5mbps, and 3g is 3mbps.
4g on the bell version was 12mbps and LTE on the rogers version was also 12mbps.
So this concludes that 4g on rogers version is actually 3g and HSPDA, but doesn't specifically indicates which connection it's using. Therefore, bell version indicates correctly which connection you are on.

after some cutting and trimming, i removed the top bezel from the 0.3mm case. it nice and thin now without added weight and bulky look.

Need to bring my phone in for warranty. My phone is rooted, would this void the warranty if I bring it in like this? I would unroot it, but the screen died, so I cant see shit.
