There is a one hand operation option in the setting where the keyboard is sided and sized to your specified side for normal one hand operation

True, I just wish they had the 4200mah battery like how you can get it for the S3 currently. Either way, I'd get one over the iPad anyway. It's a little too big to use as a phone though

I type with two hands even with small smartphones, but there's nothing on google play or setting for one hand dialer.

EDIT: nvm, it includes dialer as well

FYI, Note 2 price has dropped 10% 4 days after launched. For sure the value of it doesn't hold much longer. Can't wait until Note 2 LTE announcement.

Where can you purchase the international version of the Note 2? Is it going to be available in Canada?

I tried the Note 2 today. Friend's mom bought one in HK. It's slightly taller than Note1 and the bigger screen is def noticeable, although not really necessary. Overall, it basically feels like a bigger GS3 but the S pen does work better than Note1. Menu speeds better too. I will prob just hold onto my Note1 until the next Nexus device is released.

im gona get the NoteI, coz the prices will drop like a dead fly.. haha...

Performance is not an issue for me when it comes to phone.. as long as it functions firstly as a phone.. then the rest is dessert!
So im eyeing the TMobile NoteI, as it comes equipped with the proper AWS band, rather then the hacked radio SW of the I717

This is the problem with Companies advertising 4g and then LTE. LTE=4g

Actually, HSPA was added to the list of 4g technologies some time earlier this year, so despite the fact that HSPA is closer to 3.5G, networks like wind that don't have LTE can advertise 4g phones and network.

In marketing, LTE and 4g are not the same.

What he said. I was on my phone when I replied.

HSPA+ is 3.5G, and was added to 4G last year for marketing purposes when the wireless networks down south had LTE already and were advertising it as 4G.

The wireless regulators in Canada adjusted the speed requirement for 4G last year to make room for HSPA+. As such the big 3 started advertising their network as 4G, despite of only having a HSPA+ (3.5G) network, and not a LTE (4G) network.

I'm on HSPA+ so I don't own an LTE device, but does an LTE phone actually have a 4g icon for hspa+ and then a separate LTE icon when using LTE? If that's true, then I can understand why people keep saying 4g and lte are different things.

I also don't follow how carrier's advertise their network too closely, I remember that they started calling their hspa+ networks 4g networks but didn't realize that they had separated 4g from LTE in their ads.

EDGE
3G
H/H+
LTE

That's what you'll typically see on different devices depending on the level of connection you're getting.

That would depend on the make and model of your phone. In Canada, "4G" indicator on mobile phones can mean it's on a HSPA+ network OR LTE network. When it's on a LTE indicator, it means it's on true 4G.

Not only you need a LTE phone to get true 4G, but you also need a LTE-supported SIM.

I know it's fairly confusing, and it was intended to be this way courtesy of the big 3.

This.

God damn Robellus. They've used the "4G" term too loosely since the SGS2/HTC Sensation came out last year. I think thats when they started calling the theoretical 42mbps download as 4G, even though its not. On my S2, the highest I ever got was 11mbps, and I was creaming my pants when that happened.

Now I have an S3, my mind is blown with LTE speeds. True 4G speeds.
