AV's coaching is predictable and poor. Lose av, trade luongo, and maybe see what kind returns the Sedin's could gather. |
I fucking agree. I've never liked the Sedins. Regular seasons performer nothing more. No fire, no drive, no grit when it counts. Get rid of Kesler too. Shows up whenever he wants and is a nominee in the bandaid boy committee. |
Fire AV, hire Pierre McGuire. Yeah! All jokes aside, Canucks should rather look to bolster their future prospects rather than go for a drastic overhaul of roster over the summer. I mean, schroeder is good and all but it's hard to see him take over as a more offensive threat down the road. And plus.. he's ONE player. And let's be honest the current Canuck 'stars' ain't young. |
The current crop of players just can't get it done. If they can't play for their coach, they should at least play for themselves and they haven't been able to do that. I wanted this group to win. They should have in 2011 - that was their year. The window is now closed. Blow it up. |
well at least i got my wish and it took AV two games to figure it out that ebbett is trash! In other situations AV gets out coached every game and doesn't know what to do to make this team win anymore... |
watched the game live today. Man was the croud loud. I felt like we had some good attacks this game but the plays were all too predictable. Dump in and chase? the Sharks were at the other corner waiting already. Pass the blue line and wait? 3 sharks zone in to try to take the pass. It didn't help when we took stupid penalties. Powerplay is also a problem. You see the every shark player moving and changing positions to get the Canucks scrambling. Canucks? What powerplay? Keep the puck cycling the outer boards and wait for something magical to happen. They tried the same play that they used in the previous game (With Kesler on the top getting the shot) but that didn't work. Seeing them getting into the zone was even more . It's like they've been taught not to even try to go into middle ice and instead stay on the sides and get crushed on the boards. Another thing i noticed was that the Sharks were playing a much more intense game. They skated harder and even blocked more shots. Don't know what the Canucks can do but hopefully they can pull through this or change the way they play. |

The only way to win now.... Fire AV TMR. Let the players fight for something, or fight for nothing..... lol.... |
Don't worry kassian will develop in a couple of years and carry us all the way Posted via RS Mobile |

all i can say is, i hope there is some very drastic changes this off season. its well overdue. |
There can't be too many drastic changes, most guys have no trade clauses. They'll can AV for sure, and trade Lu for a bag of pucks... Aside from that, there's not much more they can do |

This is what I can see happen AV gets fired...Gillis gets one more shot and if he fucks up is fired, after they lose in the first round Gillis tries to get raffi in the off season but raffi refuses contract of 3.5 mill plus haha, we re-sign shit holes like ebbett and raymond. Gillis trades schnieder for some no one. Lu demands a trade too doesn't get it since contract is an albatross. Lack starts Lu rides the pine and we miss the playoffs...following year Sedins retire go back to Sweden, Gillis is fired we re hire burke and we go in to rebuild mode. Be like the leafs don't make the playoffs for 9 years.... |
Anyone know if they are realigning the divisions next season? Because if they are, get ready for an even bigger reality check than this series. |

We'll be in a division with Anaheim, LA, SJ among others. Lots of tough games to be had. Posted via RS Mobile |
I was pretty frustrated to see Garrison still not being switched up first unit PP. Especially on that 4 on 3, much more open space and easier to get an open lane to unleash his bomb. AV's gotta be able to make those kind of changes on the spot. imo, when Canucks didn't score there, their small window was done for the game. Canucks basically need to win four 1-0 games now if they want to pull out of this. Get one lucky goal and hang on to dear life, hoping Luongo (or Schneider) plays flawlessly. Pretty sad when you think of the only way our team can win. |

so the question is now will the canucks make the playoffs next year with this new re-alignment format? |
^ yeah...... except just probably 5 - 8 seed... srs |
You guys do realise we had a better record outside of our "retard "division this year than in it right? Posted via RS Mobile |
