It didn't really look like Edler went out of his way to knee Staal, or even really meant to do it. Staal had his leg outstretched and Edler kind of just coasted into him. From one angle, it looks like Edler is going for the shoulder/chest hit, and Staal leans hard to his left. Regardless, hope Staal is okay.

Wow, 3 upsets today at the Worlds, Swiss, USA and Sweden.

So now its USA vs Switzerland and Finland vs Sweden. The Swiss have a very legitimate shot at advancing to the gold medal game, what a jump that would be in the world standings for the Swiss and the Sochi Olympic groupings.
