Available immediately, one previously wonderful television.

Used lightly to watch Maple Leaf playoff hockey.

Suffered an unrelated impact that rendered the screen useless approximately 20 minutes ago.

I feel bad for the Leafs fans, who deserved better than this. A 4-1 lead is all but a guarantee in the third, to see the team melt down like this must've been heartbreaking. I'm not a leafs fan, I'm just cheering for whoever is playing Boston, but it's easy to understand how shitty this is.

In some ways, I still feel the Maple Leafs had it better.
Their goal was to make the playoffs, and they succeeded this season.
They were down 3-1 in the series, and played with heart and clawed their way back to the point where they should have won the series.
There was good hockey to be watched.

Unlike the Canucks series.
Game 1 was garbage and it pretty much defined the entire series.
At the very least, the Canucks could have waited until the middle of the series before bending over and showing the Sharks how submissive they are.
I think Canucks played 3 solid periods out of 12.5 periods...
And they couldn't even string together 3 of those "solid" periods consecutively to win a single game.

Just embarrassing, and missed the organization's goal by a long shot.

We are laughing at Leafs because we hate them and they choked hard in the last minute of regulation in game 7....Not because we think we did better than them...and did they really do better than us? I mean, if you're not first, you're last, right?

its a natural rivalry thing

in a way, i cannot stand those leafs fans that throw the "we have a cup"
Yea we know the leafs have had 13 cups, but the last one was in 1967, its irrelevant to the times now.

Whatever it is, I will rag on the Make Beliefs all I want., however, I did think that they played excellent in the series and Riemer stole 2 games for them. If they won, it doesn't change anything.

Those leaf fans probably don't want bandwagoning Canuck fans cheering for their precious anyways.

I agree, rivalries can be fun. Nothing wrong with that.. just saying have some humility when your own team sucks even worse than the one you're making fun of ;)

Seeing the Leafs lose was terrific. Frattin must feel really bad after missing the breakaway late in the game, and Reimer.. harhar.

Now THAT is fucking hilarious :lawl:

If you want me to be dead honest...
I could care less about Maple Leafs.
Maybe it's because I don't participate in Toronto forums or where ever their fanbase is.
I don't hear their side of things.

I don't see them as rivals in any form.
I'm clearly missing something, based on the fact I seem to not give a shit about Toronto.
The last time the Leafs played against the Canucks in a series was in '94 (if I'm correct).
And for obvious reasons, we're not going to play them any time soon again.

I really don't care who they were cheering for during our SCF run.
Like I said, I don't go to their forums, so I have no idea.
Were they cheering for Boston? :fuckthatshit: I figured 28 other cities were too.
At least those were the rumours

It's kind of funny how the Leafs blew their 4-1 lead in game 7.
But hey, I would probably be just as amused if it was any of the other 28 teams.
Sorry, Toronto doesn't get any "special treatment" from me.

My bad, next time I'll just write it all in one line so it's not so "poem-like"

I agree with this point. Having lived in Edmonton for a while, my friends go out of their way to rag on me about being a Canucks fan. Yes, at the end of the day they have never won a cup. That said, they have been the most relevant Canadian team of the last two decades. I don't even say anything back to Oilers fans, because there isn't a point. I don't feel a rivalry against the Flamers or Oilers these days because they have been so bad for so long. Teams like the Hawks and now Sharks are the ones I look forward to because they meet in the playoffs where rivalries are born and expanded.

Even the Leafs, use to not like them, but now they have been such a sad franchise for so long, I felt indifference. That's why everyone hates the Canucks, because they have been a top team for so long. Once another Canadian team does what the Canucks have (maybe even win the cup), that will be the team everyone hates.

bballguy 05-14-2013 01:10 PM

Francois Beauchemin was playing with a torn ACL...

Alex Ovechkin put some of the blame on the league and its referees for the Capitals not making it out of the first round.
The Rangers had 28 power plays to the Capitals' 16 in the series and that clearly frustrated the Capitals captain. "I am not saying there was a phone call from (the league), but someone just wanted Game 7. For the ratings," Ovechkin told NHL.com contributor Slava Malamud, who translated to English after the loss. "You know, the lockout, escrow, the league needs to make profit. ... I don't know whether the refs were predisposed against us or the league. But to not give obvious penalties (to the Rangers), while for us any little thing was immediately penalized ..." Let's not forget that Ovechkin was held pointless in the final five games of the series, was sent home in the first round of the playoffs for the third time in six years and is now 2-5 in Game 7s.

RiceIntegraRS 05-14-2013 02:13 PM
