Just ordered a pair of these for my rear signals. Converting to LED and these are apparently the brightest on the market right now, blindingly so according to some :derp: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/ODAwWDc5OQ...UdC4U/$_35.JPG Taking one of my rear turn signal red incandescents and doing a rear fog conversion in the driver's side rear reverse light socket. Going to get a piece of LaminX to cover up the clear area as well. Anyone know how I would rewire/splice the reverse light to go on with the rear tail light instead of when the car is put into reverse? |

It's not a foglight if it's on all the time :rukidding: Quote:

There's only supposed to be ONE rear fog light. Anymore than that and your confusing drivers behind you |
Couple goodies for the GT3 RSS X-Pipe for that pop pop burble on decel :fullofwin: http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/u...pgrades_12.jpg Picked up a spare 997 Sport Wheel w/o multi function off eBay and had it wrapped with alcantara and stitched w/ Red thread. (My car was one of the rare GT3's that came with optional "smooth leather finish" steering wheel) This cost me about 700$ all said and done, the OEM wheel from Porsche would have been about 2300$ and would have had grey stitching.... aaaaaand it wouldn't have been as fat as my guy wraps over the existing leather. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...nturbo/001.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...nturbo/005.jpg Spoiler! |
^ Who'd you get to wrap it? |

Two rear foglights would make you a retard One rear foglight (that's on all the time) will still make you annoying. Don't do it man |
http://i1257.photobucket.com/albums/...l.jpg~original I don't know why I am bothering with this mod, probably because somewhere deep down inside I still really want to go back and complete the GTR inspired FX-R. I saw a set of GTR brakes for sale, 3 grand for just the calipers, and they needed to be rebuilt. Fuck that. |

I dont agree with LED signals = rice. LED flash rates IMO makes a car look even cleaner. They way the reflect off street signs are pretty cool. I guess if you use cheapo ebay signals with no proper relay mods and having them hyperflash like crazy then its pretty rice FailFish |

Also for the rear fog, I'm not running a higher wattage bulb, simply taking my existing red incandescent signal and placing it into my driver's side reverse socket and rewiring that to my brake lights. Not going to be anywhere near the actual brightness of those European law-mandated rear fogs. Going to be covering the driver's side clear reverse lens area with red LaminX so that will further dim the bulb. My inspiration: http://images.pistonheads.com/aimg/1094/1094632-3.jpg http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/...lights-rf5.jpg |
^ I don't know about others but I notice when one of my reverse bulbs are out. I am very fond of my reverse lights and would never sacrifice them for a "cool light" if you really want to do that why not... http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x...02913copyy.jpg |
I'm one of those OCD guys who frequently checks all the exterior lights of my car to see if they're all working, including the reverse bulbs by putting the car into reverse and putting on the ebrake. One of the advantages of an auto trans :troll: so that would be a non-issue for me Also Element rear bumper has a plastic crash bar that would need to be removed altogether or removed and a portion cut off. http://img.youtube.com/vi/nYKzxWgSzOQ/0.jpg Already thought of that ages ago, but would prefer something more integrated and OEM looking like a lot of EDM/UKDM modern Hondas. http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php...mg=169318&md=1 |

Getting out of the car while it's running and in gear... :heckno: :heckno: :heckno: |
I don't understand how that works, if I left it in gear and put the e-brake on my car would stall. Spoiler! |
